World Health Organization reports depression becoming now even more common, particularly in young people. Therefore this kind of education is extremely important and valuable.

I remember my earliest bout of depression. I was about 3. I lay under the Oak tree and just started crying. I felt sad and didn't understand why. It was 38 year later, my mother admitted that she had abandoned my brother and me while my father was away on contract.

I have realized depression is genetic because I had a fulfilling childhood and no cause and effect occurred to bring me sadness.

I have a great life build for myself, im always the happy person on the outside, but my childhood was horrible and loveless. And i have a mild depression, its always there, i can pretend im fine but i would love to die. If i get a Deadly illness i would be so happy, i dont have to kill myself, its not my fold so nobody is angry at me and i have my wish come true.

Wendy , your depression may be clinically undiagnosed and depression is untreated.
I’m the uk it’s relatively easy to access talking therapies. It really could support you while you explore your childhood experiences and trauma.
I wish you love light and through healing may you feel supported. ❤️‍🩹

I completely understand that wish to die and all the thinking that goes along with it. Have you looked up chronic low mood disorder, used to be called dysthymia? It's a dreadful name for a horribly, long term depression that goes on for years and is there all the time. That's what I was diagnosed with, and I experience what you describe.
It doesn't feel mild to me though I think it causes us significant suffering.
I'm wishing you are feeling the best you can. 😊

No I don’t agree I’m a psychotherapist and agree some things so to speak strengthen an internal structure and then enable to embark and engage with talking therapies.
