Co-written by Kirstie and the lyrics are maybe my fave of all their originals. It's real and impactful and once again everyone gets a moment to shine. Great song, great reactions.
This is one of the numerous Kirstie-written songs on the new album...but she let everybody shine in this one. Still, though, I really LOVE the fact that she has finally stepped up to take REAL leadership role with the group now. It's about time she became the STAR she should have been all along!! Although this particular video uses a live track as opposed to the studio version, and was shot for the Kelly Clarkson Show, PTXOfficial is now calling this the "official video" of the song, the same way they did with the "live" version of The Lucky Ones.

I actually don't believe Scott sings bass at any point in this song. In general, they did way more multi-tracking on this album than usual, so I'm pretty sure they just double up Matt on the bass and lead in this song.

Yes, "Love Me When I Don't " and "Be My Eyes" have similar messages since Kirstin wrote both songs.

I don't think that's the case here. They went out of their way to label this live. Now the Kelly Clarkson show doesn't AIR live, so they have to mean the performance was taped live. The video intercutting/people moving around is a green screen post edit trick. The audio was done live. Scott can easily cover that bass. It's not even a strain for him.
@@Wiley_Coyote I know it’s not a strain for him, but all their ‘live’ performances for this album have included a few added layers, which I think is great. I like this new way of performing and the albums style

Don't quote me on this, but I believe Kevin does the base drop. Check Be my Eyes where I saw him do it. And back with Avi, in songs were it happened, Avi was otherwise occupied.
I agree. I have heard there are several techniques beatboxers can use to create bass and bass drops even if their singing range doesn't extend to bass. They can use throat bass and lip rolls--Kevin did a bass drop that way in Be My Eyes, he did throat bass in Love Again, and Cora from Citizen Queen used those techniques to do the bass drop in Bad Guy.
I think they did this live, but in front of a green screen. The moving around is after effects. When aired on the Kelly Clarkson show, they didn't move around or appear and disappear. The Kelly version is probably still up if you want to compare.
King Family...I have a question about the copyright. It seems like some reactors complain more about getting their videos taken down than others and while I'm not sure if that is true or not, it seems like some reactors are going to EXTREMES to try to prevent this and yet they indicate their videos are still getting taken down. It has gotten so bad some reactors won't even put up the video on the screen & just react to the audio while others make the screen size they are reacting to extremely tiny (10% of the full size), covering the screen with either words or patterns or making the video fuzzy looking. In ADDITION to the above the reactors also pause the video multiple times with some reactors not doing more than 10 seconds before pausing which tends to make for extremely long reactions. I know some reactors use the following disclaimer & seem not to have to pause a lot: "Copyright Disclaimer under section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, education and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing." My question for you is do any of the previous tricks of pausing, tiny screens, words or pictures over screens, etc. really work or is this just a rumor that got started about having to avoid getting the reactions taken down and don't always work anyway? It seems like putting the Copywrite Disclaimer with the section 107 quote from the copyright act at the very beginning of the reaction would be the BEST DEFENSE against getting the reaction pulled rather than all the other "tricks"?
I don't know how the King Family will respond to this, but my experience has shown that there literally is NO rhyme or reason to what videos get blocked and what videos don't get blocked. TH-cam doesn't seem to realize that all this kow-towing to the labels and their copyright issues is doing nothing but hurting themselves, as long-time TH-camrs and influencers are starting to leave the channel for other platforms now.
