I really thought Pryor’s closing argument would have been more persuasive. Ms. Blake knocked it out of the park though! I’m glad she did the rebuttal too. She deserves a RAISE!!
Ms. Blake has been the best. I’ve never heard of her before, but she was so incredibly effective. She was definitely the star in my opinion. I’m very surprised that Mr Pryor was actually professional throughout, sometimes jovial. Watch the prelim. Shocking difference. I see no actual or valid defense for this loser. Waste of taxpayers’ money.
Prior took daybell for a lot of money. Charging what he does, he almost stripped Daybells bank account. DEaybell could no longer afford him and the court would not let prior to stop defending him as the case would have taken even longer as another defender would have to haver gone through everything from the start and then more motions. Taxpayers money ended up paying for prior to defend him.
@@adriennecrosby4105 He didnt kill the people himself, but could have killed Tammy himself, but he instigated it each time, so he is guilty of murder. I hope he gets the DP.
Not necessarily. The state provided video evidence of Lori driving around, stopping at a Burger King drive thru that morning with Tylee and JJ and then dropping JJ off at daycare while the murder was happening.
Daybell's moving to the right in a not-so-subtle way, crowding Pryor as if to threaten, who I believe is scared of being jumped. Early in the trial you could see Daybell sliding over and taking Pryor's pen. The guard came and lambasted Pryor, I presume for leaving a weapon on the desk.
Is he truly allowed to sit and make stupid faces, roll his eyes and basically chuckle to himself, when the prosecution is making their closing arguments? Just as I thought he couldn't get any more disrespectful...
Zoom in on Chad face during prosecution closing. He’s having all sorts of reactions. From eyebrow raising, shaking his head, chin lifting, rolling his eyes, pouting and smirking. Can’t wait to see his face when the verdict is in
Im crying my eyes out how could they do this to the children. I know its not new but It just kills me. I have an asd child myself. He shall pay. Please give blake state bonuses...
While it's horrible what happened to Tami, she was an adult and chose to spend her life with that garbage. It's those kids that breaks my heart. What an evil piece of garbage, he needs to stop breathing the air that decent people breathe
If I were on the jury I would be so irritated by Priors closing…no duh it isn’t about his ‘beliefs’…🙄 It’s about the fact that they DID conspire in their own language to kill his wife and her kids. Gah. He is so condescending if not almost insulting…UGH, it wasn’t at all about espousing his religious beliefs. Give me a break…he used his religious beliefs in order to justify killing these ppl so he could have Lori.
💯 I didn’t like his snarky remark about the prosecutor taking too long to close and then says he is only taking a few minutes but goes on and on. Prior likes to blame the women in Chad Nuggets life for all his downfalls. It’s just not true, he was a lazy bum who manipulated everyone around him imo of course 😀. In a way he is this generations Manson but just isn’t a CIA informant.
I can’t believe they brought his sister in law Heather Daybell into his closing argument 🤦🏽♀️. My goodness when Heather and her husband ( Chad’s brother ) moved to Rexburge , they did so to move away from their families to create their own life. Chad took one look at their property and decided to move his family not just to their town but on the same street as them. He did this knowing that they were trying to build their own life in a new community. Chad thought he would take over some of their land for his cult. That is wild to me.
I appreciate that Prior is doing his job, so I guess he can sleep at night. However, I have always felt that Chad was the Ringleader and instigator! Lori used her brother to kill Charles. and the kids.
I thought Pryor did a good job. He had an upward battle from the beginning. I kind of felt sorry for him...defending someone that I'm not convinced he thinks had nothing to do with the crime. He had no help as the state did...that's a lot of pressure. What I had seen of him before this trial... I didn't like his aggressive nature...but honestly he was respectful to the court. He was argumentative at times with witnesses ..but so was the prosecution at times. He had a ton of interruptions from several objections from Blake...which I felt was overkill at times. I admire her, but it was very annoying at times...let the witness speak Blake...you already "won"... I for one wanted to hear more of what Emma had to say, but Blake hardly let her talk. She may have learned something more if she did not constantly interrupt her testimony!..just ssyin!
I think he did well too and yes way too aggressive towards every single witness. It’s a better look to go at certain witnesses , I think that sticks with a jury more. Not a fan of the way Prior talked about Tammy. I think there were different ways to get points across without sounding like a jerk.
Just the fact alone on how JJ was buried with all the stones and the wood took a lot of time. He saying Alex did it with nobody seeing him. Give me a break. I think Alex would’ve been too lazy and not smart enough to use boards and rocks to put in there.
💯💯 It's a shame in a death penalty case in Idaho that victim impactment statements can't "attack" the defendant with what they really want to say. If in Jeffrey Dahmer's victim statements a victim can call him a MF'er, it should be universal all victims can say what they truly feel!!💯💯💯👍
People out there be advised there are thousands of chads walking amongst us. Nice sweet neighbor up the street. Please keep your head on a swivel and don’t trust anyone but Jesus

Thank you SO much for this.

It's eerie to me when listening to Chad's "blessing" of Alex he started sounding like Warren Jeffs. Sickening!
My heart breaks for the kids and Tammy.

Prior is an excellent lawyer because he truly believes, as I do, that Chad didn't do it, but his hands have blood on them.
@@adriennecrosby4105 He didnt kill the people himself, but could have killed Tammy himself, but he instigated it each time, so he is guilty of murder. I hope he gets the DP.
@@ianallen2Pryor owns his property. Chad deserves to lose everything he owns.
@@ianallen2honestly, by law he needs representation but I don’t see any way to defend this man. Prior just did his job.
Interesting point by Pryor...regarding Alex killing Charles Vallow...the children witnessed that murder!
Not necessarily. The state provided video evidence of Lori driving around, stopping at a Burger King drive thru that morning with Tylee and JJ and then dropping JJ off at daycare while the murder was happening.
Not necessarily and certainly not proven.
Ok but all of the death percentages and Tammy did not witness anything. Nor did Brandon
Good closing by Pryor. He did the best for his client...didn't have anything to work with but he worked strenuously and alone.
I completely agree!

It's like Daybell has suddenly come alive. Never seen him so animated until today

The prosecutor repeating and repeating who decides who's dark and what that means really punches their point through. Excellent.
Chad is like "I am f#$%%ed!
I would be so mad to be an alternate after sitting through this trial for 31 days
How many others in his sect have died because daybell has said the person was dark and a 0. It cant just be only Charles, Tammy, Tylee and JJ
I still don’t understand what the defense is
Many more people involved along with Chad. The Melanie’s and David Warwick should have to submit DNA.
Im crying my eyes out how could they do this to the children. I know its not new but It just kills me. I have an asd child myself. He shall pay. Please give blake state bonuses...
The prosecution’s closing was very thorough and easy to follow. What they did was so cruel and unnecessary. Scary that people like this exist.
❤❤ Congratulations Lindsey, Rob, Rocky, Ingrid, Rachel and all detectives!!💯💯💯👍👍👍

Melanie will be on trial next... DNA was excluded? That is crazy. I didn't know that. How did I miss it?

Finally, we get to see just how smug and contrite Chad really is. He has been holding back his emotions during the entire trial.
I appreciate that Prior is doing his job, so I guess he can sleep at night. However, I have always felt that Chad was the Ringleader and instigator! Lori used her brother to kill Charles. and the kids.
Charles Manson Defense... He didn't do it but he was the ringleader.!!

Agree. The “objection calls for speculation request to strike” back to back to back was overkill and annoying to listen to

Okay, so she said he didn't have to do the murders. He just had to have helped or been part of the plan.
Chad would’ve gotten the death penalty even if they weren’t caught. Lori always got rid of her ex-husbands when she was done with them.
Priors condescending tone did not help Chad at all. It makes it very easy not to like Prior or dumbbell.
Thank God

Mr. Dumbbell… I mean Daybell stop giving advice on people’s dark and light percentage

Prior’s closing was horrible.
