Being retired uniformed service I can tell you a single set of blouse and pants is hundreds. Three sets is insane. With the tags. What a bonanza. The used camo gear isn't cheap either although the service member doesn't have to pay for those themselves. What an awesome investment of $10.

Great finds in the unit. Salvage what you can, wash the linens! Instead of trashing... droppings happen. Also the “vintage “ music box may be a re-issue. They did that with classic toys about 8-10 yrs ago. Might not be vintage. Love your hair! Awesome video...and perfect price for all this stuff!

The three plastic totes were worth the $10 you spent and you will make a lot more on the car parts and military gear. I have to admit, a part of me was hoping that a live mouse jumped out as you went through that box after you kept talking about how bad it smelled because of the mice. For your sake, I am glad it didn't happen, but it would have been fun for the viewers to watch your reaction to it. Might help to carry a disinfectant spray in your car for germs and smell. I carry a 4 in one disinfectant can be used on fabric, and most everything else.

The facility told me that they spoke to the owner prior to the auction, and they said to sell it, that they didn't want anything out of it. Never really know the story behind the units, but at least the items won't be going into the trash.
My Granddaughter (who is 3) is blonde and she is going to be Elsa, I have red hair so she wants me to be Ana and my husband (who has tattoos , big bushy beard ya know a rugged looking guy) is going to be Olaf for Halloween 🎃
Just a note about mouse urine smell. A friend helped us move and she insisted on trying to clean some clothing and bedding in order to donate. What worked was using detergent, a ton of Dollar Tree liquid fabric softener and washing on hot once or twice. I was amazed at how it got rid of the odor.
From what I remember with this unit, the facility told me they spoke to the owner that morning to notify them one last time that unless paid, the unit would continue at auction. They told them to auction off, they didn’t want anything left in the unit.
Congratulations and well deserved! The Army & Nat'l Guard stuff seems odd (that the vet wouldn't want them - though maybe some folks would rather not remember their time in the service). Did they have name patches sewn on to the fatigues? Maybe someone joined but then had to resign? I didn't serve but maybe someone who did has an idea. Great video.
There was a name on the one hat, so I had to edit that out. The uniforms actually have a Velcro strip for the patches, but there were only 2 insignia patches, no name.
Nor sure about the US but other countries have labels stating the uniforms (and gear) are property of the defence force. Just curious if these can be kept and sold, or should be returned to the military
