Good info!! You should add a plastic bead between the weight and the knot to stop the weight from cutting your knot.

But what will stop the bead from from beating up the knot? It's harder than mono too and has an edge to it. A soft rubber bumper of sorts is what should be used but you never see anything like that. Be easy to make from thick rubber band.

I usually let the fish tell me what they want. I'll start out with a couple of each and after a few fish you can really start to see which one they prefer that particular day.

I prefer the uni-knot over the clinch knot. I always give my lines a test tug, never had a uni-knot break on me. Test it out for yourself!

There use to be an event called knot wars. It was an annual competition to see which knot was strongest. The palomar knot won every year so the ended the competition. It's truly easy and the proven strongest knot known to man. Best wishes and tight lines everyone. 🐟🐟🐟

What kind of pole and mainline would you recommend for bank fishing a lake?

When bank fishing I prefer longer rods to get a longer casting distance. I use 10' medium heavy spinning rods with 50# braid for mainline.

It's funny you should ask that. I never have, but I've been exploring ideas for one.

As far as drift socks go, the Cabela's ones used to be great. Unfortunately they discontinued them. The new bass pro socks are good though.
