This is too gorgeous of a song for Vergil. It matches his inner struggle, and it's one of those "lost DMC songs" no one has ever heard of. Too bad CR Devil May Cry 4 is pretty obscure akin to other DMC Pachinko spinoffs like The Last Judgement.
I think the song sounds the way it does because it doesn’t necessarily convey power like in bury the light. I feel it conveys the feelings of perseverance and resolve and determination likely from his time being trapped and tortured in the underworld by mundus. We see in lyrics like “lost in a dream,” and “demons in my mind waiting for me to release this burden.” The tone and message aren’t as bold as bury the light’s lyrics because at the time of dmc 4, here he’s actually suffering versus his claim to power and duel in dmc 5. But both songs truly convey Vergil’s feelings deeply and very easily feel as if Vergil was saying them himself.

Tf we don't know the full backstory of Vergil until Visions of V (and a bit from dmc 3 manga) but this song exists and explained a bit more for the reason of dmc3. It's like the young version of bury the light. That aside, I'm impressed to the Japanese singer who sang this. This is such a shounen but a bit of the knight vibe. The lyrics hurt and I'm not going to explain every single one. I don't play dmc (broke) and I got here for the lore but thank you uploader guy.

His story is so sad but his demeanor is very uplifting and amazing. After going through horrible tragedies, he remains unwavered. Pure unadulterated motivation while turning his pain into power. @@Ryuuko-chan Wouldn't really fit thematically with DMC6. Maybe DMC3 or the ending for DMC4 but Vergil's mindset is completely different. He understands that humanity isn't "weakness" he became less powerful since he gave up his humanity. That's also why Nero has fifty times more potential than Dante and Vergil combined.
