Suffered cramp all my life, followed all your advice over the years and it made little difference. About 5 years ago discovered caffeine can cause cramp. Have been drinking decaf ever since and not had cramp since.

I don’t suffer from cramps but can suffer from severe fatigues.
I drink a litre of water with a high level of sodium over an hour 2 hours before the ride.
Then drink to thirst with a moderate level of sodium on the ride.
At the end of an epic ride I will drink a litre of water with a high sodium level over an hour.
Also I’ve had a sweat sodium level test, for me I’m lucky that my level is low 750mg/l. Though I have a high sweat rate 1.8l/hr.
Heaven help you if you have a high sweat rate and high sodium level.. Your sodium losses.. well it’s impossible to keep up you need to manage the disaster at the end.
