@William no not really a waste. Looks like it might be an area with fewer hydrants. Or no hydrants on the street at all. Thus the need for all those tankers and other fire apparatus.
19 apparatus for a residential structure fire . You guys do great tanker operations. But why so much equipment. Seems like an overuse of equipment from other departments. ( I don’t know the size of the structure) just wondering different ways of doing things in different places
Some areas are known for having large wildfires and need the tankers to put them out. In my state me have over 1000 tanker trucks with the United States Forest Service. Because we have super big wildfires in the mountains.
In the uk fire and rescue is organised at the county level, with 38 stations, 1 large station whole time manned, 8 more with one engine daytime wholetime manned with additional engines and night covered by on call firefighters and 29 stations covered 24/7 by on call firefighters, theres also a dedicated training facility, it allows for specialised equipment including high volume pump units which come with 3000 meters of hose and can pump 7000 litres a minute from a water source like a lake or a river and takes 15 minutes to lay out and an hour to recover
They are based in an industrial area and receives alot of money each year. They have a Seagrave Mid Mount Tower Ladder, a Seagrave Engine, a KME Engine, a GMC utility, a Mack Tanker, a Seagrave Tiller, and had (I'm not sure if they have it anymore) a KME Rescue
Sure hope there wasn't another fire in the township because all the equipment was at 1 fire
There would still be Hazleton and West Hazleton to handle anything else in Hazle Township
That's alot of equipment responding to a shed fire

It was cheryl's she shed
Love those lime green trucks pretty cool paint schemes. My dad's department has the bright green paint with blue stripes.
Every fire department in the state on one call 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
Looks like they were calling for a lot of tankers.

@@irishgaming8061 In this area of Pennsylvania there is maybe 1 hydrant on a street
Interesting to see a traffic director on the back of a tanker.
A lot of departments use tankers/tenders to block for MVA's. A lot cheaper to replace than an engine and they can take a hit.
I got half way through the video and decided that there really wasn't a house fire, just a fire truck convention!

Rainman14 you need to come up to the Pittston area and buff some calls
1:45 that's a pov, thats cool that they responded too.
That's because they're fire police. They respond to direct traffic around the scene.
@@braduh1 I know what a POV is. I am saying it's cool that they responded to the scene.
Albino from Utah Fire police are always on scene...
@@firefighterprodigy not in my state, only in more rural areas
@@firefighterprodigy we also don't call them fire police, we just call them POVs

They don’t really need equipment from the last couple of trucks, all they really need is manpower
Honest question but do any US fire departments have high volume pump units
Some areas are known for having large wildfires and need the tankers to put them out. In my state me have over 1000 tanker trucks with the United States Forest Service. Because we have super big wildfires in the mountains.
My last department had two engines and one engine tanker. They all had 2250 gpm pumps. The engines carried 1000 gals. The tanker carried 3000 gals.
1000, 1250, and 1500 gpms are the norm.

That is just a ridiculous amount of equipment for a shed fire. What a waste of fuel and members time. 🤦🏻♀️
It wasn’t a shed fire, the entire rear of the house was fully involved.

All those units for a frigging shed fire!!! Here in the UK, you’d get two engines, tops.
It wasn’t a shed fire, it was a 2nd alarm house fire
