I've been website building and self employed for years. The new generation of web building and tools are so much better at ensuring success. Great video, you've saved me a considerable amount of money on my next venture. Thank you!!
I set mine up last night before I saw this & apparently I missed a step on setting up the cart because I have no idea how to find a cart page or how to build one. do you have any tips for that?
You should be able to set the cart page under WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced and if you wanted to customize it, we would recommend taking a look at our guide below: www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-a-custom-woocommerce-cart-page/
So, what will the approximate cost of be when doing everything you did? Will it be cheaper than Shopify? Also, would I be able to add another language option?
WooCommerce is a free plugin so it would depend on what stage of creating a site you are at. If you are just starting creating a site, you may want to take a look at our article below: www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-much-does-it-cost-to-build-a-wordpress-website/
I currently have a website listing my services, reviews etc. Can I use WooCommerce to add a store to my website? (Don't want it to overwrite my current theme). I want to add a "store" tab at the top of the site and have my for sale items on the page. Thanks
I need help!!!! Somehow while I was following this tutorial, I had an image show up on my header image and I cannot figure out how it got on there or how to get it off.Canyou tell me how to remove it??? I guess I did something wrong somewhere??
It would depend on your specific theme, we would first recommend checking the documentation for your theme to see if it has a setting for your header or if it sets the header based on your featured image. As each theme is different there are many different ways that it could have been added.
It would depend on your goals for your WordPress site and what you would like it to be. If you plan on adding WooCommerce then using their store option could be a good starting point.
Hey, great question - if you log in to your site and view a product page then click on the 'Edit Site' option in the admin bar at the top of the screen that'll open the Single Product template editor where you can click on any of the elements on the page like the price and change its color. Once you've done that, click save and that'll be updated for all your products.
@@wpbeginner Thank you for the response, Unfortunately I am using elementor pro and I don't get edit site, I get edit page and it doesn't show the price to change the color. But thank you

Thank you for this. You hit the nail on the head when you mentioned being intimidated. I do have an ecommerce wordpress site, and it needs to be updated/reworked. I'm also considering moving from a hosted elearning site (teachable) to my own wordpress site. I found a plug in for that!! So excited. WooCommerce is for setting up how your products are displayed, for the overall design of your site, that would depend on the specific theme you are using on your site.

You would want to check the WooCommerce site for any paid plugins to refund the cost. You would want to disable any added plugins under your plugins area.
Rather than using a theme for a single page of your site, you may want to look into multipurpose themes like the ones in our list below: www.wpbeginner.com/showcase/best-wordpress-multi-purpose-themes/

Thank you for the upload. Question for you if you don't mind? What if I already have a domain and host? I purchased my domain from godaddy and I want to move my store from shopify to woo commerce. Any advice or help would be appreciated.
If you have a new host then most should have an option to use a temporary domain to set up a WordPress site while your current site is still running. If you are on the same host, then you would want to check if they have a staging site option.
WooCommerce would allow you to have a section for selling your products. If you were only offering digital products, the Easy Digital Downloads plugin is another option you can consider.
You can install and test this locally by installing WordPress locally following our guide below: www.wpbeginner.com/how-to-install-wordpress/#installlocal

It would be nice if you had explained how/where to make the terms and conditions page.
That depends heavily on what you are selling on your site and a few other factors which is why we did not cover it this time.
@@wpbeginner I figured it out. I need to create a webpage and put the terms on there. I think you need to be more simple.

How do you add options for a client to choose a shirt size? Is there a drop-down from WP forms? If so, how do you integrate it?
