2024 Richland One Hall of Fame Induction Gala

The 20th Anniversary Richland One Hall of Fame Induction Gala was held Saturday, April 13, 2024 in the Exhibit Hall at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. The theme was “Celebrating a Legacy of Excellence.”
The Richland One Hall of Fame was established in 2004 to recognize graduates of Richland One schools and other persons throughout the district’s history who have made significant contributions to Richland One, their communities, their professions and society as a whole. Induction into the Hall of Fame is the highest honor awarded by the Richland One Board of School Commissioners. Ninety-six men and women have been inducted since the Hall of Fame was established 20 years ago.
Members of the 2024 Hall of Fame induction class were: Robert T. Bockman, a longtime Richland One volunteer and a member of the Richland One Hall of Fame Advisory Board; former Richland One Superintendent Dr. Percy A. Mack, Jr.; Bernice G. Scott, a 1962 graduate of Webber High School and a former Richland County councilwoman; Senator John L. Scott, Jr. (posthumously), who was a 1971 graduate of C.A. Johnson High School; and retired AT&T executive and former Richland One teacher Martha Scott Smith, a 1967 graduate of C.A. Johnson High School.
The gala also featured musical entertainment by Saxophonist Dante Lewis Band, with special guest performers.
