I hope ya didn’t n take that the wrong way, been watchin your vids, I’m jus on the Atlantic Coast and would love to throw a drop shot over here, just not the place for it, I have struggled to make it work to no avail. Back to my cranks and jerk baits

I bet one day you will experience the magic of what a drop shot rig can do. It's one of the best rigs out there. Big companies even make setups specifically for drop shotting. Having said that, there is a time and place for a drop shot rig. I usually fish them near the weeds finesse style or deep water vertical jigging. I've heard of people using them for surf fishing too. Thanks for watching my videos!

How deep down is that water where the trout are at?

If I remember correctly, they were at around 80 - 100 feet deep early August when this video was filmed. Right now they should be in the shallows foraging and fattening up to get ready for winter.
