OMG. The same thing happened to me. I had these friends since four years old we are now turning 56. They are gone because I decided to lift me and my daughter up and make us a success story. Not bragging. We did good. We put God first. We kept praying together. The blessings are still coming.
They are still in housing court. Trying to find ways to feed their families and don’t care anything about an education or having God in their lives.

My neighbor, a woman who I have known for over 40 yrs., would only call me when she was broke and couldn’t go to the casino. She always complained and talked about the other neighbors. I always felt her friendship was not sincere and that she talked about me too. She called me one day and asked about my blood pressure which had been running high, and she asked about my brother who had been in the hospital for a serious illness. She was always long winded so when I told her I had to get off the phone so I could call my brother, her response was: “don’t call him, let someone else call him.” I told her not to ever tell me not to call my brother. I didn’t holler at her, but my voice was serious. She stopped talking to me, but good bc she is not a real friend. A real friend would never tell a friend not to call a sick relative. Do you think I am right to stay away from her? I won’t let anyone bully me.

Real friendships are built on mutual respect and support, especially in difficult times. If you feel that this relationship was one-sided and not supportive, it's understandable why you would choose to distance yourself. Trust your instincts, and it's important to surround yourself with people who genuinely care for you and your family. Staying true to your boundaries is a healthy approach, and it seems like you're doing what's best for you.

@Caroletta451 I firmly believe in letting go of grudges. Life is too precious to be weighed down by negativity. My wounds are fairly new. I am a firm believer in forgiving but I am wise enough not to forget! If you are a relative and tell me how much you love me but then ignore me on your daughter's special day, I will remember this. I have stood by and let these slights go on too long. When people show you who they are, believe them! These people are toxic!

@@caroletta451 I agree🖤! your words resonate deeply. It's incredibly powerful to acknowledge the pain and take a stand against toxic behavior. Your commitment to forgiveness while also setting boundaries and remembering past hurts is a testament to your strength and resilience. I’m in my golden sixty, still learning discernment & self preserving tactics. I tried forgiveness, these people only kept taking more inch & ground from you. I leaned that I hv to change myself, not them. Becos they would never change. Out of their jealousy, they seek every chance to bad mouth you even before you are introduced to new colleagues. They take the cream off from your crop. They add bitterness to your juice. My only way out were to cut them off from my personal social ground unless in odd occasions as in company functions. In such case, I pray to God to give me blind eyes to block the evil but see only goodness from others 😂

I had many jealousy friends and people in my life it was toxic, awe full. God took many of tgem out of my life and others HE showed me red flags and actions i chose to walk away and it was the best thing I’ve done. My standards in the past 8 years got higher and my self respect, self esteem, self value I am in a stage now that this type of person I screen them from afar they don’t near me and if they would come I don’t allow them in my life. God has blessed me so, so much and be sure HE will do the same or better to you. . Be always watchful, observe and if you see something or hear one thing don’t insist or persist because that’s what I did I use to think that’s nothing, just a little thing, wanted friends a mix being emotional as well. I changed completely. I am so proud of myself 😊. Thanks be to God that helped me completely. Wishing you the very best!😊

A big indicator and red flag of someone who is jealous is, whenever you are good at something that the jealous person is not, they always have something negative to say to you and always have a problem with that one thing you are good at or whatever they are jealous of you for and about, and they are the only one who always has a problem with you doing something you love that they know that they will never be good at themselves, or whatever they are jealous of you for and about, and intelligence and how much money you have, is something else that jealous people can't stand. It's so annoying and childish when these jealous people come into our because jealousy is a common trait of not only toxic people but in narcissists big time as well. It's their own fault that they are so childish, immature, and jealous, no one else's. Jealous people can't be trusted, ever. When someone shows us who they are good or bad, believe them. Remember, you don't owe anyone any type of explanation for taking care of yourself.

This manager used to show me respect and recognizing me in the morning meetings, but after the meeting is finished, she becomes criticizing and unstable person towards me. She goes to my co-workers and criticizes me and my work.
I couldn’t figure out why she was doing that to me. I tried many times to ask her, but she always pretended that she wanted the best for me!

Jealous people use sarcasm when talking to you and are delighted to see you upset. Hard to believe that your parents/siblings do not hesitate to get under your skin !!! I think this gives them pleasure.

Good suggestions. I find these people everywhere. God helps me. I have many people who are that way.
