- Quick update on my camera slider for 3D printer time lapses. The hardware is good enough, and the electronics and code are next. I'm working on two projects at once, so it won't be fast, but I'm hoping to reuse some of the code for both.

, Can you post a full tutorial video on how to make it? I’d love to make this for my DSLR. What’s the weight capacity and what is the best focal length you use for that close? Would 50mm work?
Still work in progress as I need to add the electronics and code. Should work with a 2Kg camera on paper. 50mm (full frame equivalent) works for small objects, otherwise I'd go for 35 or 24 or even wider. It'll be a while before it's fully functional though. I have big plans with it.
I wish you would make a longer video to show it.
I will, once I get it to work with all the electronics. Not much to see for now.

Not yet. I haven't done any documentation yet and it's far from finished. Will be working on it over the next months.

I didn't get to work on it further. I keep delaying a video explaining how it's supposed to work, but there's a lot of software missing.

But if you want to control the whole thing with an Arduino, for example, then definitely try out the new AI ChatGPT! They will write the code for you as you want... Maybe that will help you.
