Thank you so much for doing this video. Rarely can you can find advice from a person who understands how difficult it is to exercise when your obese. You have motivated me to want to start my journey. Please do more of these videos 😁
I also started over 400 pounds . But I didn't exercise hard since like you I had feet problems. Did occasional 10-15 minute walks since it wasn't recommended to go longer. Instead I focused on my eating habits . Doing a combination of the ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting. It has helped me tremendously. The first 2 weeks were tough but afterwards you hardly feel any hunger (been almost 2 months since I started). I see myself doing this for life. Now I'm doing 1 in a half or 2 hours walks this past week. I'll start utilizing the exercises you recommend in this video. Thank You
@Fat2FitGabby I don't really track the numbers for carbs since I usually eat carbs with high net and fiber like green vegetables, avocado and mushrooms. If I had to put a number I usually eat between 20-30 grams of carbs. I also didn't track calories. Instead in the first 2 weeks I focused on getting my body fat adapted (into ketosis) by always eating in the ratio of about 60%fat,35%protein and 5% or less carbs. I would eat 3 times a days and just eat enough till im satisfied. But the trick is to eat as clean as possible in those first 2-3 weeks and not so much dairy (probably just grassfed butter) eat food with omega 3 fat and not so much omega 6. I would say after 2 weeks my body started getting into Ketosis and that's when I started doing intermittent fasting . I initially started 16/8 fasting trying to eat 3 times in that 8 hour period but ended up eating 2 times. 3 days later I started 18/6 fasting just eating 2 times a day. Eventually and currently am eating once a day everyday. It may sound lame but other than the first 2 weeks to fight the cravings of sugar I usually listen to my body to let me know when Im satified just make sure to eat the green veggies. I once did a 3 day fast. Keep yourself hydrated get those electrolytes in (Himalayan sea salt, potassium and magnesium) Look into food with vitamin D and A After a month I started treating myself by occasionally making keto pancakes, egg benedicts, keto brownies even the occasional keto pizza Im currently 325 3 months in
Same here I did calorie deficit, IF, and Keto I just went from 440 to 370 with no exercise. Bad knee, bad hip at 55 years old. I am ready for some movement now.
Thank you so much for this. It’s so great to hear from someone who has personal experience, understands the barriers, and speaks with empathy and encouragement. You’re doing great work!
i love this! super obese and beginner friendly! started at 405 pounds, ive been struggling for 8 years now. im relearning my diet all over again and im gonna add these into my day since my average walking is 300 steps with no exercise or neat work,
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I just found this video. Honestly best video I've seen about obesity workouts. It made me feel understood and accepted with my challenges. It gives me hope and motivates me to WANT to work out.
Every video better than the other! I have spent so much money and time getting no results.. Looking forward to sharing my journey with you. Tomorrow starts today. Be Intentional!
Thanks for the video. Very encouraging. Nice to see a normal guy on the same journey many of us are on showing people how to do it in the beginning. I think most fitness coaches don't realise or don't remember just how difficult it is when you first begin and are heavy, unhealthy and unfit. Everything hurts and you lose your breath just getting out of bed and trying to tie your shoes. I still get out of breath easily even somtimes just sitting on the couch but it is definite improving. Wish I'd have seen this when I started my efforts but still very helpful. Thanks again and keep it up. You can be proud of yourself. Wish you much success.
I have been unhealthy for 7 years now… poor relationship with foods, poor mental health, poor choices every single day. I made a promise to myself to get back healthy recently. Thanks for the video! Hope I really make it this time🥲
This is such a great video. I still have 110lbs (currently 319lbs down from 372) to lose before I'll be at a reasonable weight and started doing VR Boxing and squats. Those will get your heart pounding! I do a 5 minute session then 10 squats, repeat 5-6 times depending on my energy levels that day. Gyms in Australia are like $80-200 a month so that's entirely out of the question, and I live in a tiny studio apartment in an unsafe part of the city. Everything has to be inside a small space. Like your garage is bigger than my unit!🤣 Also water bottles filled with water are a great substitute for weights
Thank you for this video! Watching this video really helps me understand that it is okay to start working out with simple exercises. Thank you for explaining how most exercise and workout videos, blogs, etc is nothing than BS. I will definitely check out more videos on your channel.
I just came across your video here and ty I needed this. I really hope to see more. I need it. Lol I'm going through alot of things right now and stresses are so high. I'm at my highest weight ever and I just feel lost. So I do hope to see more videos would be great. And you truly are helping people..
🎉 By the way you look amazing and are so inspiring! I am at a weight and age about to be 48 where I am really feeling the effects of not being fit I get out of breath walking upstairs very easily ect. And when I have tried to exersize I have injured myself so I really appreciate this video
Thank you so much for this video. I managed to loose 120pounds with no workout, but now I’m ready (being a bit lighter), for another new change to my new lifestyle. I changed my habits one thing at a time to not “fail” - like I’ve done a million times before 😂. It’s really a process and it takes time, but this is for life.
Thank you for this. I'm 55, male, 5'9 and 285 lbs. I'm also a 40 year smoker. I'm very out of shape. I get winded just walking up an average flight of stairs or even walking just one block. I can't get up off the floor without crawling to something I can grab and push up on. My feet hurt a lot. I eat nothing but fast food and frozen foods and way too many snacks. I don't know how to change. My self esteem is shot. This is the first video that came up in my search. I will be watching your other vids, especially about nutrition. I don't even know how to shop for healthy food. Maybe you can do a video on that. Again, thanks.
This is an awesome video! I am Obese I have alot of weight to shed like 130 lbs and yes as Ive aged I realize how injured you can get if you try to exersize in a way that is not begginer
THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO. THIS IS MORE REAL THAN WE KNOW. I AM IN THE SHOE RIGHT NOW. 370 POUNDS, 5'8" AND I HAVE LOST ALL MOTIVATION TO TRY TO LOSE WEIGHT, I HAD TRIED AND WAS WORKING BUT CAME BACK. NOW I JUST DONT HAVE DRIVE.
First of all thanks so much for sharing this! This was very encouraging. I am a 47 years of age and have some knowledge of working out(not really) I truly need a workout program that is catered for being obese and lack serious flexibility ( especially pelvic) I am truly striving for a healthy lifestyle. I choose life and need structure and information that is applicable for my situation. I can’t afford a personal trainer but I am making no excuse. I just wanted to say thank you and to share a little bit of my story.
A couple of years ago i let go of nearly 40kg and kept that weight for about two years before I started gaining weight again. Now almost all of it is back again :-( and I feel even worse than the first time. I thought I had understood how it works and I feel like a loser. Thank you for your encouraging and honest video. I need thing I can do at home and at all times. I feel like I can do this.
I loved this video❤. You are so fun, humble and real. I need to lose 40 pounds(I'm not obese anymore but my strength and resistance are like if I were)but I'm a couch potato 😂. Those exercise are very cool. Especially the one on the couch, since I have my knees hurt (but I'm able to do Zumba 😅). Thanks for your video 😊

Iam starting my fitness journey tomorrow... My food habits will have to start in 3 weeks times when I can afford to buy healthier food... But I'm starting something tomorrow, it's been forever
Right? I have bad knees and every stretch/exercise program is burpees, squats, wall squats, etc or super simplistic things like head turns, shoulder rolls, side twists etc.
