Crayola Oil Pastels are better than the regular crayons, lol. Try Gallery soft oil pastels by Mungyo. Really good and cheap too (20 bucks for 48).

I mean this looks great but def not a masterpiece compared to his other stuff. A masterpiece is something that shows the full extent of an artists skill and technique, which would more describe his watercolor paintings, not a crayon doodle he did.

I originally commented thinking the sharpener was something relatively new but looked it up and guess it's been around some 58.
I knew there was a sharpener on the big boxes but I don't think there is on small ones? Unless I am wrong. But I'm used to the small ones and wouldn't be surprised if that is the same with a good chunk of the people who didn't know

@I can't think of a name maybe a bunch of really young teens commented, like 13 to 15-ish
I know I didn't know about them because I would use them at school so the big boxes were too big to carry so we would get the smaller packs without the sharpener and so I just used to figure the big boxes also didn't have a sharpener.

So, I looked it up: Crayola started adding a built-in sharpener to their 64ct boxes in *1958*.
I remember the sharpeners, but I thought it wasn't a thing until the 90s. I probably had never had a box big enough to include a sharpener until then.

Although a positive part of many childhood memories for some reasons crayons have been frowned upon as just kid-stuff and not for serious artists. Recall during my years studying industrial design, building rendering skills, and every so often someone would buy elite materials then expected great results. So hopeful.

Crayons were suchhh a huge part of my childhood, I remember having a giant tub of them. Every so often we would take left over crayons and put them in molds to melt together to make giant star shaped crayons and heart shaped crayons, etc. I’ve recently got back into traditional art, and I really want to use crayons now, this video gave me so much inspiration!

There's a trick to make it smoother, press down harder on the crayons when drawing fill all the white spaces and when you're done get something to scratch the drawing and use it and it's a much better way
