Just made this for thanksgiving 2021. Followed the recipe exactly with a substitution for mild Italian sausage. It was delicious. Didn’t even need to add salt and pepper, it was perfect. Thanks for the video!
Literally the best recipe I’ve found so far! I changed it up a little bit and used shredded chicken instead of sausage, and I used a pan of cornbread instead of a bag of bread crumbs. Seriously going into the recipe box for next year, everyone loved it! 👍🏻
My family has never in my 41 years had cornbread stuffing/dressing for any holiday meal. I decided to make this recipe thanksgiving 2024 and everyone loved it. One thing I would say, this recipe makes at least 12-14 servings so you will have a lot of leftovers. This will definitely be added to the rotation!! Great recipe 💗
My southern mama made her “dressing “ with corn bread, chicken liver, onions, celery and I add in some of the broth from the Turkey wings. It is moist and delicious, every year it is a must on my table for thanksgiving! Thanks for sharing your recipe, I will try it as a separate side dish choice for guests. 😊
In MY household we call it dressing and I use a recipe from my great grandmother. I would've used that smoked turkey from the stock too. Great recipe as usual! Keep up the good work.
Now this is exactly the type of dressing (stuffing is what is stuffed in the turkey) I like. It looks moist, not dried out like sawdust. I will definitely make this.
Delicious! I call it dressing if it’s made from cornbread and stuffing if it’s made from bread crumbs (or bread cubes as you mentioned, lol) but really I just call it all GOOD 😂 especially this recipe!
I'm making Thanksgiving dinner for the first time this year (nervous about it), but recipes like this make me so excited! This looks delicious af, thank you for the help and information you share! It's a life saver :)
I love me some homemade dressing. I never had sausage before. I might try adding it because I love it. No bag bread for me. I think my mom would come back from heaven a get me:) I bake Cornish Hen on a bed of celery, onions & bell peppers. Bake Martha White cornbread mix Cornbread. Mix all together and add Campbell’s Cream if mushrooms soup, cream of chicken soup, cream of celery. Don’t you dare not add poultry/sage seasoning in. Delicious! I watched you videos and they look sooo good👀👀. Jesus in need to be at your table. I wish you nothing but success! Keep up the good work you doing fabulous my brother!
@Mr. Make It Happen, You Sir make dressing. I've seen a lot of dressing recipes on youtube but You got skillz!!! And it's REAL SOUTHERN STYLE DRESSING! #GoodJob👌🏾
We usually make cornbread dressing but my boyfriend really likes dressing that has the bread cubes in it so I’m excited to make this and have a bit of both ❤️ thank you!!
OMG, this looks insanely delicious. I am a Chef too but I can’t never get tired of watching your recipes, all the details & your grood sense of humor is icing on the cake. You’re simply amazing & THANK YOUUUUU! #Cheflife 🙌🏽👏🏽🙏🏽
I came across this video by accident but OMG I’m so glad I did! I follow several TH-camrs for recipes and tips but your channel is literally is everything all in one! New subscriber 💯
Mr. make it happen. So glad to see someone else rave over sausage stuffing, I make mine with sausage and those who didn’t grow up with me are shocked I use sausage, BUT THEY LOVE MY STUFFIN. I found a sausage brand of sage sausage (killer stuffing) and everyone wants my recipe. Pork King Sage Sausage from Western Beef, Amazon also sells it. I can taste your stuffing just watching you make it, my mouth was watering.
Oh YES!! I'm finally going to make homemade dressing for Thanksgiving. Someone else usually makes, but I'm gonna let my Family know I got me a "FABULOUS" recipe that I have to try. Loooove it!! Cannot wait to make t. Thanks loads for sharing with us your skills. Arlene
I rarely comment on TH-cam but had to here. Bruhhhhh, this was outstanding!!!!!! Made it exactly as written. Used my own broth. It was a tad too salty for me, but would probably use unsalted butter or half/half salt/no salt butter. Otherwise, this is 🔥🔥🔥.
When I make stock, I always use turkey wings and necks, and a pound of chicken gizzard. It makes the stock rich. I have also made sausage dressing and added a cup of chopped pecans. It is delicious.
I think I'll try it with the sausage next week; I normally use the gizzards and only the bread cubes but... we're in a different time so, why not try a different recipe. Thank you for sharing.
I was Mm-ing soon as it started. I fortify my broth with herbs and aromatics also, but never thought of adding smoked turkey! I love Better Than Bouillon. I need to buy stock as many of them lil bottles I have up in here. 😂 I always buy asian milk bread and make cornbread for my stuffing, but I'm gonna give these cubes a try this year. It's the second time I've seen it used, and I know with you I can trust it. Love watching your creations! Thanks for the video.
Just running into this channel and hooked already! Excellent presentation, super simple, mello personality. I’m trying at least 4 recipes this week. Thank you and keep ‘em coming!! 💕💯
Cornbread stuffing/dressing is the best way to go imp! Its delicious! Full of flavor and everyone leaves happy and if u are like me Togo plate in hands when I'm at someone else's house 4 Thanksgiving! I know i will be cooking the dressing this year and this is my go to recipe!! Thank you!
Thank you for providing all of the ingredients and preparation thoroughly AND being a great speller is a PLUS! 🤣😂 I personally call it stuffing...that's the black way to call it. LOL
Heyy my mamma always called it stuffing. Not sure what else to call it 😉 always stuffing in my book. To me the stuffing is the highlight of Thanksgiving.
@@brookelynwallace8663 I don't like the taste of bread crumbs in my dressing, all cornbread give it a better taste when you put the cranberry sauce with it
I haven't made dressing in a couple of years. However, I like your recipe better. I'll be making this... So, thank you for the wonderful content. Stay safe...
I love it. Have made a variation of yours & AB’s with my Mommas & my twist the last few years. I take Thanksgiving Dressing orders, now, I Have 24 orders now. Lol. I have to take vacation to complete my orders in time. ♥️🥰
Yummy! Yours recipe is similar to mine but I found I like Tennessee Pride sausage better & I toss in a generous handful of toasted pecans. I've made the baked version with eggs & my stovetop version that never goes in the oven. My stovetop is the hands down winner. That's the one that everyone asks that I bring to TG dinner or a potluck. Plus I've shared the recipe to a few including my picky daughter in law. Oh! And I only use the cornbread crumbs. Besides, making it on the stovetop is ideal because the turkey is taking up all the space in the oven. 👍
Yo you're saving my life. I think this is a good mix between what I like and my BFs southern taste buds. I don't like the extremely fine cornbread crumbs in southern cornbread dressing. The texture is too mushy for me. I need cubes for texture. But I think this flavor will hit minus the pork. :)
@@MrMakeItHappen oh shit it was one of the best things we had! I added smoked turkey meat in the stock I made and added the shredded turkey to the dressing. He loved it! Everything was fantastic.
Personally I use cornbread from scratch with no sugar and I use green bell peppers. And throw some gizzards in there. Then watch as the fam contracts the Itis.
Oh wow, I will be making this for Xmas dinner. Instead of sausage, I will use veggie crumbles and maybe add chopped apples to it. Will let you know how it comes out modified. Thank you!💕 Have a wonderful Christmas!🎄
