Don't sleep on this recipe. This is similar to the way my mom made her dressing, and it's really good. So give it a try, maybe when you aren't having company just to check it out. You may be surprised. I will look for her older recipe too.

Ummmmmm not a fan of sweet cornbread for my dressing definitely not using jiffy I don’t add sugar did I miss her using sage 😳 well to me it’s whatever you use to making. I’m sry but I have to pass on this one This is just my opinion please don’t attack me I’m just use to a different recipe this was a lot of sugar and butter. I use sage bell peppers oysters onion turmeric rosemary even add French bread to my homemade cornbread that I make 2 days before I cook it I’m over 50 this is new school to me I’m not saying it’s bad either my daughter use jiffy cornbread for hers and I don’t eat that either to old school for this 🤷♀️

Where I live they make a moisturizer dressing but I still would try yours. I secretly like drier dressing sometimes the very moist ones are too mushy.
I get what you're saying. This is the way my mom makes it., and I love it. But she would always make a giblet gravy so I didn't know the difference.
