Recently @thecure released a new song and I just had to listen to it. I look forward to the full album to be release son November 1st. #thecure #alone #reaction
I can't resist the tears that fall from my eyes from listening to this. The Cure is unmatched. I absolutely love this and its exactly what i needed. Its like being reunited with a dear friend whom i haven't seen in ages.
Best reaction on TH-cam I honestly felt like I was sitting with a buddy listening to it for your first time It's the most honest reaction It's hard for me not to cry throughout the song Happy and sad tears
Your story of discovering The cure is exactly how I discovered them the early nineties. Im 46 now and feel the weight of life, love, dreams, and the loss thereof. I cried my eyes out when I heard this song. It’s wreathed exquisitely in misery, melancholy, and despair. Amazing!!! I’d love to watch you react to the new album!
Love your genuine emotional reaction : same as I had ! Mighty The Cure has come back at last : Robert is a genius, Simon’s heavy grainy bass is majestic , so are Roger’s keys, and Reeves adds so much texture to these songs , can’t wait for Endsong 🖤
Cure fan of some 40 years.....I'm so pleased it's this good. It's absolutely incredible for a band of this longevity to pull this quality out of the hat. If the album is of this quality and resonance it could be their best or certainly comparable. Can't wait....
You got it man! This song provoked the same emotions in me. I first heard the CURE in 1981, and this song is reminiscent of those days. And now, like you said, we all face loss and we wonder “where did it go?”. Be careful if you do the whole album. It pulls us in but we gotta take breaks. Allright man, together alone.
I got into The Cure when I was 18 and borrowed Seventeen Seconds from a friend. I realised immediately I was listening to something special which touched something in me. I'm 59 now, sigh, and The Cure have always been somewhere in my life. This song moves me so deeply having lost so many and so much through the years. I'll absolutely be here if you react to the entire album. With a box of tissues. Thanks Mega.
I found them in the mid eighties and I was so grateful to have a whole double album to sink into. Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me. I was OBSESSED. Then I went back and listened to everything, and of course Disintegration happened…I’ve seen them three times, most recently in 2018. ❤ So special to me.
Great song - and great review. I saw the Cure for the first time in 1987. A friend of mine gave me a tape with "Kiss me, Kiss me, Kiss me" and invited me to a concert. I listend to the tape a couple of times, but was'nt convinced. But at the concert when all the lights went out and they began to play "The Kiss", and then played "Torture" I was sold. The rest of the concert I felt like I was floating. It was very emotional. The Cure has been in my life since - and I'm 58 now. In my home country they have played 12 concerts and I've only missed the first in 1985. I love the emotional, magnificent music, the lyrics and Roberts voice. I feel exactly like you, when I hear the Cure. It gives me goosebumps and I get very emotional. I really can relate to the new songs. Suddenly you're around 60, and you've lost a lot of relatives. Where did the time go? What about all the dreams you had? The Cure and Robert Smith can more than others describe the feeling of loss and grief. There is something completely unique, universal and timeless about the music. I hope there will be another Tour.
Instant classic song - and I feel the same way, there's 8 songs on this new album, so I am imagining most of them are longer ones. Looking forward to this one.
I've listened to this song so many times. Just over and over and it gets better and better. I've been a fan since the 80s when I was a child and this song just brings me home to the days that I first fell in love with the band.
Yeah definitely react to the whole album! I think, as you say, your reaction is determined by how the music makes you feel - and I can tell you greatly appreciate this song BY HOW you reacted (AND you played it twice!) - Excellent.
A genius songwriter, musician and in fact band who are able to take you to such a dark and foreboding place, yet have you smiling at their brilliance, and somehow filling you with joy at the same time. No words can describe how awesome this track is, having now listened to it a dozen times it has clawed its way through my skin and weaved itself into my soul. And yes I cried and am not ashamed. I lost my dad in April at 94 years and the title of the track hits home like a sledgehammer but I salute each of the band and everyone involved in the production of this track for its stunning beauty.
First time I've watched this channel & your reaction & summary were perfect. Been a fan since they released Charlotte Sometimes. Watched them perform Alone on their 2022 Euro Tour but this version is better. Thanks for your review & I look forward to you reviewing the whole album
I watched your reaction and it was like watching myself when I first listened to it. I had tears flowing thinking about all the years of being a fan since I was 15 now 56. All the life experiences mine and theirs . Loss of Parents,changes...It goes right to the core. I'm glad people feel it like I do. I have a feeling this is the end of it. Thank you
Definitely do the whole album. I am alone, and watching these reactions helps me pretend that I'm hanging out with someone who appreciates it as much as me and pretend I'm not alone for those few minutes. "When I listen to The Cure, it takes me somewhere deep inside, that requires me to just listen and feel."
A few listens in and I couldn't be more thrilled with it. No other band just FLOORED me the way The Cure did. I was a metal head at 15 and I transitioned to British alternative by 20. I still remember hearing The Cure the first time and and it STUNNED me. I instantly bought all their albums and then a year or 2 later they put out Disintegration. FUCKING WOW. Anyhow, 57 year old man and I saw them last year at Madison Square Garden and one minute into Pictures of You I was a crying mess...it brought me right back to when I was pretty much just a boy nearly 40 years ago and what this band meant to me at that time and since then.
In a recent interview, Robert Smith said this song was the start of the album. The album will be the darkest melancholy work they’ve done. It reflects the loss of his brother and parents. The tour Songs of A Lost World was spectacular!
The other two I've heard: And nothing is forever & I can never say goodbye, about Roberts brother.. both as beautiful as Alone in my opinion! Can't wait for the album! ❤
I loved this song from the first few seconds! Its beautiful... thanks for your great reaction, agree with that feeling, I think we all do, Roberts lyrics... wow..
Wow. The Cure reemerges and proves they are indeed the masters of the sublime... Nobody else comes close to Robert Smith's pure emotion. And thank you for you genuine and moving reaction.
I’m deaf but I feel the music with my hand, it’s a very beautiful song that hits really hard, I’m 55 years old and a huge cure fan here. I cried. 🥺 the beginning is like the melodies is telling us a story of a life going through the highs and lows then it quiets a bit for his voice comes through like it was near the end of his life. that’s my impression of the long instrumental intro, to me its a swan song.
Loved your comments dude. This song is so moving. Brings tears every time I hear it. Makes you think of all the precious people who have come and left our lives
Best band ever, I’ve seen them 20 times and I’m looking forward for the album and the Tour, it will be an unforgettable experience! Alone is already Home, well said 🖤🖤🖤
Robert Smith lost his parents and a brother in recent years so I'm sure the new material is going to be very reflective, as this little masterpiece indicates. I think The Cure are at their best when in this frame of mind frankly. Your reaction to it was one of the few respectful ones I've seen so far. You can tell who the real fans are.
Im 53 and my friend introduced me to the cure the summer of 1987 and i was never the same again.I fell out of touch with them the last couple albums but when i heard this song i cryed like i found an old friend i havent heard from in a long time calling me home.Im happy to say once again im all in😢❤😢❤😢
I cry but a happy cry whenever I hear this song. There is something that no other band has but only the Cure does. Can’t put my finger on what it is but love this band this man Robert Smith❤❤❤
If I were to list my top 5 favorite bands of all time it would be #1 Depeche Mode, #2 Erasure, #3 The Cure, #4 Information Society, and #5 Pet Shop Boys.
Couple questions Is this your only music reaction? You from Midwest? A live reaction would be awesome I've shared your video in a couple groups Your reaction is just honest and real My 3rd time watching your video Do whole album live reaction 😊
I have a few other music reactions on the channel. I am from Florida. Thanks for sharing my video and I will be reacting to the full album when it drops.
Damn can't help crying. It's Home. I see my feelings on your face.
Yeah!! I love how he is feeling it
If "Alone" had been on Disintegration... I don't know if I had survived 1989. 19 and so lost. But yes of course. Just one inch closer to the edge.
"It already feels like home". EXACTLY.
Best song by anyone in decades.
Hauntingly beautiful
I can't resist the tears that fall from my eyes from listening to this. The Cure is unmatched. I absolutely love this and its exactly what i needed. Its like being reunited with a dear friend whom i haven't seen in ages.
This song is unbelievably powerful, I’ve been listening to it multiple times a day for weeks now , still love it as much as the first spin
I’m glad you played it twice.
Yes, please do whole album. 😁
Love honest unexaggerated reactions. Thank you. This band has been with me at all the most important times of my life
Best reaction on TH-cam
I honestly felt like I was sitting with a buddy listening to it for your first time
It's the most honest reaction
It's hard for me not to cry throughout the song
Happy and sad tears
Totally agree

Please review the whole album, I love your genuine and heartwarming reactions and just listening along with you is the best. The Cure Forever 😊
It's very hard to find such philosophical lyrics in songs of 2024. So thoughtful. Thank you for the reaction video.
Understanding (and feeling) this song requires decades of experience. Thank you for your reaction video.

This album is everything I love about the Cure. Absolutely devastating.
Based on Dregs by Dowson. “Bagatelle,” a 1975 sculpture by Janez Pirnat. I'm 53 and I've been into them since I was 15. I've seen them 5 times now.
Ya by Ernest Dowson! British poet! Dregs....
His losts in recent years, parents and brother would have influenced this magical and emotional song!
@@flordi8235 I've read too that in recent years he started losing uncles/aunts as well. Only RS can make something so sad, so beautiful.

Do the whole album! This song has been on repeat in my headphones for a week now. It IS like coming Home. Been a fan since 1986.
No band can compare to The Cure...Robert Smith is a musical genius
Discovered them 1984. Definitely feels like home. 😢
That was beautiful what you said. Sound like Home. Feel the same

I love The Cure. I listen to Disintegration when I want to stop being depressed. It helps me get out of my funk.
because it resonates on your frequency.
This is the best review I've seen of this song mate. I would have listened to the next 10 times with you. I'm well over 100 times myself!

Hey man. Really enjoyed your reaction to Alone. I’ve seen them more than 25 times live in England. Your video was so honest. Really enjoyed it
This is a masterpiece..... crying my eyes out. Been a fan for 40 plus years. No other band hits me like this.
The first song they played in Amsterdam, ik had to cry. I was very sad because of some reasons. The most beautiful concert I have ever seen live

So true
The Cure are the home to my heart since 1986
Love your take. The Cure have been in my life since late 80’s. This album is going to be heartbreakingly excellent.

from the first time i heard it live it smoked me out of my shoes...and continues to do so every time i hear it.
I have a feeling this album is going to be epic. The Cure is the best.
Just beautiful.
The best reaction to a music is "to feel it deep in your heart"
That sigh/gasp when the first note hits 💯
I cry but a happy cry whenever I hear this song. There is something that no other band has but only the Cure does. Can’t put my finger on what it is but love this band this man Robert Smith❤❤❤

Crying in New Zealand.....
Everything ends into the endless eternal now
Robert has lost a lot of family members the last few years. Songs on this album reflect that.
