I loved it from a few seconds in. great insights and review. atmospheric and stirring 4 me Ive been a fan from the beginning im 73 we are lucky to live in the lifetime of CURE, Smiths too
Great reactions to both Cure songs. Was lucky enough to hear 5 of the new songs live in 2022 Leeds UK and prepare yourself for And Nothing Is Forever, I Can Never Say Goodbye ( about his brothers passing) but the ultimate for me was the 11 minutes of the final song Endsong. To say epic is an understatement.
This song hits like a sledgehammer to anyone who has lived it. I've been on both sides, but my current relationship is like she is speaking to me through Robert. The lyrics are an exact fit. My depression and anxiety throughout 2020-21 drove us to the edge of the cliff. I pushed everyone and everything I loved away.. Far, far... away. I'm so very lucky for coming out of the other side of that alive. I'm so lucky to still have the love of my life by my side. Thank you Robert. Forever grateful.
Hello my friend , I really enjoyed your comments on my absolute favorite band. The music really gets into my core. Have been a fan since 1984 when I saw them live and you nail it. Thanks for the comments. Damon.
Waaaaalter!! I have just seen it has been released and came running to check if you had also found it tooooo!!! Im in awe again!! Can't wait to see you how much you liked it!!! :)
Loved it!! aaaaand exactly! for a band nowadays to stay true to who they are and true to their original sound is rare! bless them and the other few artists that are doing that still!
I really love the way you listen to the songs in depth, the music, layers, lyrics, sounds etc. You have a great vibe and good energy about you that I relate to you . There are elements of this song that could be on Blood Flowers as well. I don't watch too many reviews of songs but once in a while between podcasting, music etc. Looking forward to more reviews on this album as well. Cheers, Joe from the TruthStream show ( we have had a couple channels removed on youtube, X and tik tok, man the censorship is real.)
I totally agree with every point you make, and we also feel the same about the new songs as well. I love to see your reaction videos to the new songs, as it's totally relatable ! I can't wait to hear the rest of the album.
@walterooski the lead part is probably played on a 6-string bass. That's why it sounds so full, like it was played around the 12-th fret on a guitar, playing on the thickest strings. Actually Robert Smith had been extensively using a 6-string bass (baritone guitar) during his whole career
The new music is coming really strong and heartfelt, I love that! My only complain with this tune would be the tinny sound of the cymbals and hi-hats in the beginning. There is something with Jason's cymbals arrangements that I never quite loved as much as I loved Boris' drumming in the past
@@blahblog4322It's about the historic feud and rivalry between the leads singer of The Smiths and Robert Smith of The Cure which makes it tongue in cheek. Otherwise, yeah true it's just an item of clothing.
I was gonna mention that. It's a shame cos I love both bands, the Cure more, and they aren't even the same anyway, it's just I totally got why Robert thought Morrissey was arrogant because there has always been a whiff of arrogance and snobbery about Morrissey where as Robert is much more open minded.. In my opinion of course. But both great artists.
This song hits harder than i expected. I can sadly relate to a lot of what Robert is singing about as i've lost some special people to me in the last few years.
This song sounds a bit like a b-side of Wish, which is a good thing. They sound like they did over 30 years ago when I first started listening to The Cure, and I can't wait to hear the studio version of End Song. It's pretty oldschool Cure to release an album with only 8 songs.
I agree with you : we're missing real innovation in music, but why pretend you could invent something if you fail ? This is very clever and humble to just do VERY good music, even though this is kinda vintage. There is also high consideration for their fans in this choice ! 👍
Well at least a small amount of Robert's lead guitar sound. But disappointing and repetitive. Disintegration but without lead guitars. Can we please get some songs with guitar like just about everything they did from 1980-1995. The core of a great Cure song is Robert's lead guitar and the layers of sound that backs up the lead guitar.
Tragedy!😬 I guess it's Cure's over now🤔😒The guy who created Faith, Wish and Bloodflowers can't compose an interesting melody today. Here only the drums save these miserable efforts. The lyrics of the song is excellent as always of course
Robert writes the ONLY music I can feel.. TO MY CORE.
It is so true. It really is sad more people don’t find this gift we have!
This song really sent shivers down my spine. The guitar leads is soo magnificent and malevolently grandeur.!
Sounds very "Wish" era and I absolutely love it!
Indeed! My favorite TC album.
Without the lead guitar sounds of Wish. Oh well.
I loved it from a few seconds in.
great insights and review.
atmospheric and stirring 4 me
Ive been a fan from the beginning

we are lucky to live in the lifetime of CURE, Smiths too
oui James quelle chance nous avons, j'ai découvert The cure en 79 quel groupe fabuleux. Les nouveaux titres sont parfaits!
sounds like an intimate and closer From The Edge of the Deep Green Sea. I love it.

I’m so happy that the Cure is coming back stronger

You mentioned Disintegration, and that is exactly what I thought after the first few notes of Alone. I can't wait for November 1st.

Great breakdownn and insight to the heart of this song
🍂THE CURE KING 👑 OF ROCK 🍂
King of kings
Enjoyed your reaction. Came from a true Cure fan. Their music moves you as much as it moves me. This song hit me hard. ❤
Great reaction!
I'm blown away but I'm not surprised. The Cure always deliver.... can't wait to hear this new album
They nailed it with this one. Really sounds true to their classic sound.
you cannot review The Cure while wearing a Smiths t shirt
Subscribed. Can't wait for your reaction to Endsong. I believe you are in for a ride..... Strap yourself in for that one....
I truly empathise with this song.
Bellissimo brano il basso stupendo 👏👏🎸🎸☂️☂️☂️🌃🌃🌃🌃
🇮🇹
Robert Smith's voice is still amazing. The songs released so far haven't missed a beat from their original work. Timeless

Robert is grounded, I feel that the rest of The Cure don't get enough, Thankyou Simon, Jason, Perry, Roger and Reeves. Long May You Run.
Listening to The cure with The smith's shirt, priceless😅
Why that is worth comment is beyond me. He also has glasses on.

@gabehill-harriss9022 so do I, I love them both but Morrissey's attitude through the years has become more and more annoying

Lovely song with a b-side feel to it.
new music is incredible!
Je suis totalement époustouflée par ce titre. Merci
Kind of Adonaïs sounds too. I love that❤
Very much "From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea" with a quieter, more melancholy edge.

This song does not sound like it came out of Disintigration. It sounds like it belongs in Wish
❤
Who do you think played the guitar lead/solo on this?
Kindsof takes me back to B sides from Wish like "The Big Hand"
It reminds me wish and wild mood swings sounds
Really? WMS MORE, BUT NOT REALLY EITHER FOR ME🤔
It especially reminds me of some great WMS b-sides like Home and Waiting and I also hear the Wish vibe.
Definitely has a wish b-side feel. Which is a good thing
And bloodflowers 6 strings bass solo😊
Exactly same melody than "This is a lie", from WMS...
The cure is the best band ever ❤️ 💛 ♥️ 😊😊
The irony of you wearing a smiths shirt while listening to the Cure is funny
Welcome to the new world not long now
Wendy time meets Big Hand
And the bass and guitar are so good
A review of a Cure song in a The Smiths shirt. My sort of humor. 😂
Buddy Christ. This person gets it.
Life is not fair. I don't expect it to be. I can only hope for more love and less pain.
❤❤❤
He's crying again! Yes!
😂😅❤
Calm down mate. It's okay, it's not that great.
Sorry about your heartbreaks, though.
no way he's wearing a SMITHS shirt listening to the cure LMAO
Done by design 😂
Analyze "Nothing is Forever" by the Cure, and you'll be in pieces by the end.....I'd like to hear your opinion on this one.....
Hey Walter, you should react to some Ween! If you wanna do a full album reaction I HIGHLY reccomend The Mollusk or Quebec, amazing albums!!
😢😂

Please taken out off the shirt 😢😢

Your analysis and nerdom destroyed all joy there was in the track. Jesus. Just enjoy it
Take your own advice maybe? Dick move.
What a joke... It's just like a transfer of "Wendy Time" from Wish, and "This is a lie" from Wild Mood Swing... Nothing to get excited about...
