One of the few remaining reviewers who actually know what they are talking about. Keep it up, a lot of people in the iem community nowadays say this is good and that is good even without trying the iem nor having them themselves, they just believe what they read. Its a bit frustating but anyways, thank you for what you do.
I have the C3 and the T3+. You described the sound of the C3 very well and the differences between the C3 and the T3+. I also noticed a slight emphasis on the upper mids, but I don't mind a slight emphasis on 4 khz or 7 khz. I got the C3 at a bargain price directly from Tin Hifi for 39 euros.
Thanks for sharing! Wow that is a good price that you got the C3 for. I like the C3 a lot, those little emphasis come out every now and then but overall it is a very pleasant sound.
Haven't heard the C2. Titan S is more forward in the mids, has better natural tone and timbre, slightly more elevated treble, better detail retrieval and resolution.
I have the T3+, among many other IEMs, and I like them pretty well but I find the upper bass/lower midrange a bit bloaty for my taste. Probably the result of upper bass bleed but sometimes it’s difficult getting DD’s to separate that out in an effective way. Having said that, I do admit to having a preference for hybrids where bass bleed can be better controlled. Thanks for the review. 👍
You're a great reviewer and i really like your laidback explanation without fussing over graphs.. You and Super-reviews are the only two i trust, although our tuning preferences differ. I also think the C2 Mech Warrior is a better set than the C3 despite being cheaper. Having said that, i wonder what would be your IEM of choice if you had 100$ with you? And what's the best technical performer at 100$? Sry for troubling too much..
Thank you for the kind words, much appreciated. Interesing, I haven't heard the C2 Mech Warrior. tinhifi rocks best for the price ,the t2 even nowadays is still the one to beat . I ve the tin 3 and have more bass with same neutrality of the t2 . i like them vey much
Nice review as usual Dave. The C3 is definitely one of the more pleasing sounding iems and I don’t have issues with that peak but maybe also because, for some reasons, the shape don’t fit my ears well and the sound is very imbalanced. It could also be that my set is simply imbalanced. Too bad.
@@colddish That sucks. I thought I had some issues with mine too, but everything became fine after 30+ hours of burn-in. Initially I felt sound separation was too clear cut, extremely narrow sound stage, and very sibilant too.
What a coincidence, I got my C3 today! I still haven't used them enough to decide what I think about them, but I have mixed feelings. The best thing about it is the looks and the fit for sure. I found the soundstage to be narrow for my taste. Mids and Treble is almost sibilant or dry with original tips, which I thought were too shallow with wide bore. After changing to tips with longer and narrower bore, these issues improved enough. Bass is punchy and nice. Honestly, it's not as good as I expected.
I found they took a little time to break in, maybe that will change your mind after a bit more listening. Thank you for the impressions. Yeah they aren't really anything special just a revise of the T3+.
@@TheHonestAudiophile Everything became fine after 30+ hours of burn-in. This is the first IEM that made me realize burn-in is sometimes necessary. I wonder if it's because of the type of the driver?
@@koningklootzak7788 burn-in is a real thing but isn't always noticeable on all gear. It could be because of the driver type and maybe a bit of the dampening materials, all sorts of variables can play into it. Glad you enjoy the C3.
Depth - Ability to give an impression of the overall size of the stage from front to back A couple that come to mind are the Kotori Dauntless and SeeAudio Galileo.
I haven't listened to the iBasso IT01 in about 2 years and don't recall much if anything at all about them. Here is a link to my review: th-cam.com/video/EGCOd6KhfN8/w-d-xo.html
@@TheHonestAudiophile i already have quite a few iems & currently looking for headphones. I don't have any specific driver that im looking for as long as its an over ear headphone & an upgrade from the s12. Budget wise id say below 300
Why do they use mmcx dave? Is it just audiosence that use dodgy mmcx or are all mmcx that prone to failure? you had any failures? 2 failures so far I love the T800 so much I bought another set. I hope they work but never again. They said dont turn them but somtimes its the only thing that gets them working.
I ordered T4s as a present for someone and they arrived with a broken cable. Tinhify sent me a replacement, but did so badly, so I had to pay like $20 to customs. I did so because the shop claimed it would be very problematic for them if I refused the package but the shop offered to send me C3 for free as a reparation and I must say it delights me with how comfortable, light and good fitting it is, compared to my metal Fiios. And the sound is not bad either - completely sufficient for travel.

This very informative and makes my list to try new iems as an audiophile

Yes, hybrids for the most part do a better job with separation in the bass and mids regions.

Could you please elaborate on your imbalance issue? Is it with any music you listen to?

can you reccomend a sub 100$ iem with good depth and layering? from all the reviews i read seems like all iems suck at depth unless you spend 1k

Any new update in 2024 which one sounds better T3+ or C3
I have to buy one now an upgrade from 7hz Salnotes Zero
Between the C3 and T3 Plus; I'd take the T3 Plus.
Please tell me, from sound sig, how about C3 compared to iBasso iT 01..which one do you choose ?
