I agree, it is a very fun game, easy to get to the table. Maybe the rules are a bit suboptimal at times, had to hunt some things down in the book and on bgg, but mostly it was a smooth ride and the solitair system is one of the smoothest I have played. Totally love it.
Perhaps MLW can use these mechanics, especially the solo mode, for some WWII tactical games....I will definitely be cracking open my KS copy soon!...thanks for the review...
Derek, thanks for the usual great review. It was nice to hear you point out it's suitability as an 'intro to the hobby' entry point. I have been looking for a good game for that purpose and wanted to avoid 'awwiitg' (another ww ii tank game). This looks like it will work just fine!

watch this at 150% speed. Make more NoM games, perhaps at the middle of a scenario to get an idea. I can't convince myself to get it otherwise. Cant play this solo b/c solo is out of print, otherwise too expensive. Not great.

His upcoming Vietnam tactical game, '65, is supposed to be built around the same system. Don't know about the solitaire, though.

It's crazy fun, and unlike a lot of small unit tactical games, not fiddly at all. Very smooth. Worth it :)

Do you consider Conflict of Heroes as a tactical level game? Is this better or worse than that?
