Yes, depression is a very real thing. And yes it CAN be a chemical imbalance in the brain. I suffered from clinical depression for a few years and it was the worst thing I have ever experienced. It is NOT the same as "being very sad". Depression is like being soulless. You feel nothing but a crippling NONSTOP, deep, hollow, emptiness. It is far beyond sadness. I was literally incapable of doing daily things. I couldn't even talk. However, after getting the right medication I completely bounced back to a normal person.
Now, I do agree that a lot of "depression" is just self diagnosed or even over diagnosed. And I also believe that a lot of the depression people feel is situational rather than an actual mental illness (that was my case. My brain was actually sick).

The "Pride" movement has been subverted by neo-marxist ideology - namely "critical queer theory" which is rooted not in homosexuality but in Trans-humanism which is an elitist death cult. The current flag represents marxist intersectionality which attempts to enjoin all so-called oppressed identity groups against straight white males. They accomplished this by changing the meanings of words that defined the movement.

Former “sufferer of depression” here. From my experience, I was brought up believing masculinity is toxic and was encouraged to be feminine. It made me confused and depressed about everything. The thing that helped me was the realisation that the world needs masculinity, it’s okay to be masculine and taking on personal responsibility is the greatest help of all. I now am in a state of mind that I cannot see myself ever feeling that hopeless depression again. Gone. Completely. All it took was taking some responsibility and growing enough of a backbone to be comfortable being a man.

Believe me, society desperately needs competent, masculine men! I'm a woman in my early 60's. I remember the difficulties that women had within society when I was younger. However, despite supporting early "feminism" - the vote, equal access to education etc ", I am deeply disappointed with the rudeness, entitlement & contempt for men that many women display now. A woman is as capable of abusing her power and privilege as a man! Well done for working through your self doubt. I wish you every success in your future.

Well done, sir. I can honestly say I experienced the female equivalent. Girls are told they're failures and disgraces if they're not acting masculine. We have to do sports and throw our weight around to be considered "strong." In short, we're encouraged to act like the fabled "toxic males" men are told not to act like. I knew I wanted to lean into my femininity and surrendered to my true nature. If the world doesn't like it, then great, because I don't really like the world. But I do like me. And I'm sure you're a fantastic man. God be with you, brother ✝️

This can't be all there is!" I was desperate for a deeper relationship with God. Within a month, my eyes were opened, and I understood clearly for the first time. While far from perfect, my life has never been the same, and I can not imagine a world without trust in God's plan for my life. May He bless you with faith, Andrew!

I didn't come to faith through fear; on the contrary, for many years before the time I mentioned above, I was a confidently dogmatic atheist. It's precisely that long season of doubt that made my finally coming to faith so miraculous. And no, Andrew, it’s not being murdered, but when I lost my job for not getting the vax, I lost my home, my retirement, reputation, career, everything. (I was a university professor.) It’s not something to be brushed aside. It is the reason the West is failing. The good people are being thrown to the wolves. We were not taught critical thinking a long time ago. We were taught historical facts in context. Then comparisons between different historical events could be made within historical frameworks. Theoretical thought on liberalism, Marxism etc was taught. Occasionally, we were asked what did you think, and for the most part our younger selves were to young to appreciate it. However, we disposed of historical events because memorizing facts and dates within context is boring. It’s not boring, it’s hard work and important, If you do not know history anyone can convince you of anything. Today students are taught social studies. This means they learn very little historical fact and most of it is not within the context of that time period but is understood through the lens of presentism and critical theory. They therefore, can not root any of the events of today in the timeline of yesterday and what they fundamentally mean. We do not stress that communism strips people of rights and kills it’s citizens because we focus on fascism as the big baddie even though Mussolini and Hitler were both originally communists.

The last hour featured a "drag King" who looked like my step-father - just with a woman' voice on occasion. She did well.
But between the acts were chants and rants about politics - including lies like the Tories have privatised most of the NHS - but actually despite the PPP being introduced by John Major - the majority of PPP contracts were awarded under the Labour government that followed.
we're still paying for new schools and hospitals (and will be forevermore) because of good ol' smiler Tony B and Gordo Brown.

Not really lost.... more like 'usurped' and stolen. Certainly not earned. This is what happens when you let people slide in without vetting.

I was first really aware of Laurence Fox in Becoming Jane, when he portrayed Mr. Wisley as a sympathetic character, rather than a lucky escape, like Mr. Collins, in Pride and Prejudice. Well done. Then later to later see him as hunky Hathaway in Lewis, what a treat. I admire him as an actor and a man of conviction. It’s appalling that those convictions are taking such a toll on his career.

Hi Andrew have loved your shows ever since your apologetic, diffident voice slid onto the airwaves, with your unironed t-shirt and and your stubble. Your posture has improved and your poise has come on in leaps and bounds once you realised that people were listening to your reasonable views on all matters. We live in an age when we cannot express our true views if they don't chime with Metro woke. This why I love Laurence Fox. He will always be Hathaway to me but there is a lot of Laurence in DS Hathaway: his smoking, his determination to get to the bottom of something, even if the culprit is not the one he wanted. That quip about "You know you have met your true love if you can be secretly racist with them." is classic. Much respect, Dee from Chesterfield, England

How to deal with someone calling you a racists is to respond "thanks for sharing about yourself being a racists I had no idea what it's like being a racists I wouldn't know"

Great interview! I don’t necessarily agree with everything Lawrence says but I’m 100% behind his right to express himself. the idiots who claim to supposedly all about people being “accepted for what they are” & “free to express themselves” - want to exactly deny that right , if you just happen to be a middle-aged, hetero, white bloke. The offensive hypocrisy of their position is staggering 😡

Laurence Fox said two excellent jokes. One was about Brexit. The other was about British political parties. They were very funny and spot on. The kind of jokes one remembers for decades.
Just that alone is enough to make him one of my favorite comedians. I so much hope that he can overcome the woke madness and resume the place he deserves.

I am to the left of centre in terms of politics and economics. I am fairly conservative in some things though. I enjoy Andrew's videos because his criticisms of things coming from the left are justified. But I hope this channel doesn't just turn into a meeting place for people on the right to have a love in. Although I agree with a lot of what conservatives (with a small c) say on social issues they get away far too much with keeping in the background how they also support economic policies championed by the rich and powerful designed to keep 'the little people' as poor as possible like those favoured by Liz Truss and the 'think tanks' who pay her. We need to get together and push for sane, science based social policies without taking away every right the workers ever had.
