You mentioned Combat Commander in this vid - have you done a review of that? It always seemed like something you would like but I guess it didn't float your boat?
Have been averse to squares in my wargames since Tractics in the '70s. The industry seriously needs to get off their duff, and produce more sci fi games, like AH's Starship Troopers. The hidden maze aspect of that game is a fantastic mechanism, and should have been copied and developed in other designs.
I so like to look of this game, the problem it is a Kickstarter game. I looked it up on KS it was a $65($50EB) pledge with all the expansions. Now it is $80 for base and $70 for expansions(with the solo player). $150!!! That is almost $100 dolors over the KS price, that is ridiculous. If this game was reasonably priced or if the solo mode came in the base game I might get it. But is it is just another KS stretch goal cliché that makes most games not worth it in retail after KS.
+Aikuchi the production quality of these games are quite high. Even with overseas publishing they are quite expensive to produce for a small company. We could pay cheaper prices but at what cost? child labor? dubious business practices? etc...
