The chemistry between Jacob Anderson & Sam Reid is enough to want to continue the series, but also enough to explode a science lab.

my thought process is I don't support toxic relationships for humans, but vampires are bloodsucking killers, they already set the ethics book on fire, so I don't feel bad for loving this cute fang couple lol
Exactly. I don't get why people draw these imaginary morality lines for supporting fictional toxic characters that literally kill on the daily. Entertainment would be so boring if everything was neatly put into a censored box.
Queer media has become extremely boring by only portraying unrealistic perfect relationships and characters. I'm glad shows like this exist, because without portraying real flawed queer characters and relationships..well, without them..representation is a joke.
My thought process is that I don't support toxic relationships in real life but fiction is a fantasy and it's not hurting anyone

Definitely intrigued what y'all will think of the rest of the season. It does such a good job at conveying just how toxic Louis and Lestat's relationship gets, especially after Claudia comes into the picture.
I'm a reader of the novels and I've been waiting for this for almost 30 years. I'm not disappointed one bit! It encompasses EVERYTHING Anne Rice was trying to convey. I couldn't ask for a better Lestat! All the characters are amazing and the chemistry? ....... WOW!

Definitely FINISH the season, please!! They're good but Claudia? You are NOT ready for her slay and range. (Although, heavy trigger warnings for the end of episode 5) You'll definitely like the series IMO

It brings such a different perspective to his character and to the significance of the second interview. They went FULL on with the show and it paid off. I mean, really, this show is truly, exquisitely-perfect trash served up for all of us to absolutely relish and delight in episode after episode. And even as toxic as the damned love story at the center of things is, it's frankly much too hard to turn away. So, I think that one must not fight that impulse, and instead admit that it's just easier to just succumb to the gorgeous insanity of it all, and let yourself spiral deep into the treasure of its beautiful darkness.

The meetcute with Lestat? Wow. Louis and his confession, man was that heartfelt, a full enumerating of all his evil. If you love Sam Reid, you should see him in some of his other movies, like Belle (2013).

Awesome, review !!! I really enjoyed the first episode! I wondered if Lestat fell in love with Louis at first sight, why did he flirt with Lilly in front of him? Also, I was disturbed how he was calling Louis during his brother's service then followed him to the church. Then again he’s been stalking Louis since day 1 lol. Do you think Lestat would have killed Louis or changed him by force if he said no ?

I've only watched 2 episodes. Its ok and the blokes playing Lestat is very good. But! I keep seeing Brad Pitt as Louis, unfortunately. But i will persevere even tho i they don't quite synch with my mind pics from when I first read the book. I wish they'd do a series of when Lestat was first made by Marius, as it shows why Lestat is an angry vampire.
