I just bought one of these. I was fooled too about the 48. I started out by pressing it lol. then I just turned the nob lol. And like you I put one shoe on and it fell over lol. But I haven't used it yet, waiting on a big snow, but good to know it will take about hour and a half to, too hours, thanks for the information.

You soaked those sneakers way more than the normal shoe would get wet so I would say it worked really well. I have one but I paid $80 dollars for it. I would definitely buy that one if mine breaks.
