  • Learning how to make these dutch pour flowers is harder than it looks! I did hours of research, watched countless videos and made about a zillion paintings trying to figure it out. So I hope this is helpful for anyone who wants to learn to make flowers! I'm sure there's lots of other ways to do it too, this is just what works for me! I'm only using paint and water, very simple, and created a beautiful little flower with only a few colors. Hope you like it!
    Enjoy the video! ❤️

That's the most beautiful flower I've seen! I'm mystified of why everyone uses all the other expensive products. Your way makes so much sense!!!

I agree with you. I watch on average according to my iPhone screen time 14 hours in pouring videos per week. About quarter of them are helpful. I wish youtube stayed the open knowledge source that it was intended as opposed to everyone trying to make money or “monetizing” as they call it.

Hi Lauren, I’m struggling to get the right consistency and amount of individual paint to use for a pouring.
Do you take the size of the canvas for each pour and then calculate how much paint in each cup.
    Help. 🌞
I think I’m watching too many videos and getting confused.
I think I’ll just watch yours as you explained this video very well.
    Thank you. 🇦🇺🇦🇺

Hi Barbara! It can definitely be confusing. I learned by just experimenting.. pouring out a color and seeing if there’s either way too much or not enough once blown out. Certain colors can take over and others disappear. That part is experimentation. As far as covering the canvas, I got this formula from the Left Brained Artist: 1 ounce of paint per 25 square inches of canvas surface area. I’m happy you like my videos! Thank you for watching 🥰

@@LaurenMichelleArt Thanks for replying, it’s 1.30pm Thursday in Australia.
I’ll try to work out my calculations and have another attempt.
I’ve poured your gold, Burnt Umber and white yesterday but I think the mixture was too thick.
