in some way, our authors have crafted this talent of presenting anything in such a boring way that the person will prefer to be illiterate than to read it... I m a mech engg from Pune Univ and believe me, the engineering books too which r written by the local authors are so badly edited that u will literally have to read the lines 2-3 times before understanding the literal meaning of that... we had to literally struggle in understanding the theory part of many subjects...the same thing happened with history, I never wanted to read Indian history coz the world history books (ICSE BOOKS) were all coated with colourful laminated papers with political maps and glorified the European history and very little was taught about Indian history...and when u will open NCERT books they only had black and white papers with very few pictures which won't create any connection with a grade 8-9 student and they covered only the GANDUJEES non-violence movements and were busy in telling how great Mughals were...I used to think that Indians since the beginning were slaves and there was nothing like BHARAT and brits were the ones who actually united and formed 1 country called INDIA

Native Americans, Mayans, Aztecs etc all had similar practices as hindus do. But these practices were destroyed by the church saying that these are pagan culture. For Christianity before the birth of Christ their was an era of darkness so they destroy everything in the region which they conquer which precedes 2000yrs Same with Islam , pre historic Arab culture are looked down upon. Therefore Islamic invadors destroyed libraries of Takshashila, Nalanda , vikarmshila etc just to prove that the knowledge before Islam are all false knowledge and therefore must be destroyed..
Because of our philosophy- Ahimsa Parmo Dharma, Dharma himsa tathaiv cha! Which means that non violence and peace is the biggest dharma- duty. If the person is at peace with us then why should we disrupt it unnecessarily? Because unnecessarily harming someone physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually is violence. And since India wa the most powerful and richest nation so we never really had any reason. I am pretty sure if our kings needed anything they'd have talked business and encouraged trade instead of usurping any other kingdom. But the second thing is "Dharma himsa tathaiv cha!" which means that if someone tries to disrupt this peace, then taking measures against that person/system is also the greatest duty. Even if you have to kill them, do it. Because here you have a reason,. I mean as a king you have a duty- that your people stay happy. So if there is enemy at the door you know that he will wreak havoc upon my people so you have to finish him. We don't attack, we protect. I hope this somewhat satisfies the question.

Only 13% were allowed to vote in 1946 elections and only muslim elite which was only 10% of Indian muslims voted at that time.Majority of muslims did not vote in 1946.

The chera, chola and pandya kings united together and made a confederacy to defend themselves from the mauryans and other dynasties but mainly from mauryans since they had the whole of Indian peninsula under them. Ashoka, after the war of kalinga changed his priorities since he became empathetic and hence the alliance of the south was safe, otherwise he would acquired the south regions easily if he wanted to. The alliance went on for lile 100 years and they were very strong. They were actually the strongest in india after ashoka’s death which somewhat initiated the decline of mauryan empire. Only one man was able to break the alliance and he was the mighty king of kalinga aira kharvela

Abhijitji. I am very thankful to you for enlightening the true history of Bharat to millions through this media. I have been very fortunate to come from ancestry of teachers. My father was a university graduate from Baroda (now Vadodra) university and I considered him to be the most knowledgeable and informative person. I am very fortunate to spend and learn a lot of history from him. About Greek and Indian relationship. My father mentioned that it goes back to about four and half thousand years when it was Greek empire all round the Mediterranean Sea. Greeks sent boats from Egypt to Kerala in south India to buy silk and spices and bought goods with gold. At that time, there were even Chinese living in south India and their design of fishing nets are still used in Kerala. India use to buy raw sugar from Egypt (originally known as Misar) transported by Banzara commonly known as Gipsy or Romany. That is why sugar was called Mishri in India. India sent raw sugar to be filtered into clear crystal sugar to China that’s why Cristal sugar was called Chini in north India. Reason india sent raw sugar to be refined in China was, Chinese used animals bone charcoal to filter sugar and Indians will not touch dead animal bones. Chinese trade included raw silk which was printed in Chennai and sent Kerala to be sold along with spices to the Greeks. And it is well documented in the Greek history. I hope this is true.

Actually, that is a great point about the difference between Hindus and Buddist. Buddist only believes in Enlightenment which was taught by Buddha himself. Whereas Hindus believe in karma (deeds), dharma(duty), moksha (liberation from the cycle of death) and reincarnation (rebirth). I'm pretty sure I explain in dept that help people understand the context of two religion.

in some way, our authors have crafted this talent of presenting anything in such a boring way that the person will prefer to be illiterate than to read it... I m a mech engg from Pune Univ and believe me, the engineering books too which r written by the local authors are so badly edited that u will literally have to read the lines 2-3 times before understanding the literal meaning of that... we had to literally struggle in understanding the theory part of many subjects...the same thing happened with history, I never wanted to read Indian history coz the world history books (ICSE BOOKS) were all coated with colourful laminated papers with political maps and glorified the European history and very little was taught about Indian history...and when u will open NCERT books they only had black and white papers with very few pictures which won't create any connection with a grade 8-9 student and they covered only the GANDUJEES non-violence movements and were busy in telling how great Mughals were...I used to think that Indians since the beginning were slaves and there was nothing like BHARAT and brits were the ones who actually united and formed 1 country called INDIA

Same here! I hated history, but always loved the History Channel. That made no sense. But that was because History Channel never showcased Indian history while ICSE history books showed the biased Indian and boring European sections of history.

Lagerstroemia speciosa (Jarul/Pride of India) has pink blossoms. So instead of using Bougainvillea, use this.
Cassia fistula (Amaltas/Rajvrksh) has yellow blossoms.
The three plants mentioned above can be used for landscaping.
Please take my words seriously and take a pledge to plant these trees to save the biodiversity of our India.

Native Americans, Mayans, Aztecs etc all had similar practices as hindus do. But these practices were destroyed by the church saying that these are pagan culture. For Christianity before the birth of Christ their was an era of darkness so they destroy everything in the region which they conquer which precedes 2000yrs Same with Islam , pre historic Arab culture are looked down upon. Therefore Islamic invadors destroyed libraries of Takshashila, Nalanda , vikarmshila etc just to prove that the knowledge before Islam are all false knowledge and therefore must be destroyed..
Because of our philosophy- Ahimsa Parmo Dharma, Dharma himsa tathaiv cha!
Which means that non violence and peace is the biggest dharma- duty. If the person is at peace with us then why should we disrupt it unnecessarily? Because unnecessarily harming someone physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually is violence.
And since India wa the most powerful and richest nation so we never really had any reason. I am pretty sure if our kings needed anything they'd have talked business and encouraged trade instead of usurping any other kingdom.
But the second thing is "Dharma himsa tathaiv cha!" which means that if someone tries to disrupt this peace, then taking measures against that person/system is also the greatest duty. Even if you have to kill them, do it. Because here you have a reason,. I mean as a king you have a duty- that your people stay happy. So if there is enemy at the door you know that he will wreak havoc upon my people so you have to finish him.
We don't attack, we protect.

There's another family of languages that's spoken in the North-East. It's called the Mon-Khmer group. A notable example being Khasi.

The chera, chola and pandya kings united together and made a confederacy to defend themselves from the mauryans and other dynasties but mainly from mauryans since they had the whole of Indian peninsula under them. Ashoka, after the war of kalinga changed his priorities since he became empathetic and hence the alliance of the south was safe, otherwise he would acquired the south regions easily if he wanted to. The alliance went on for lile 100 years and they were very strong. They were actually the strongest in india after ashoka’s death which somewhat initiated the decline of mauryan empire. Only one man was able to break the alliance and he was the mighty king of kalinga aira kharvela

Abhijitji. I am very thankful to you for enlightening the true history of Bharat to millions through this media. I have been very fortunate to come from ancestry of teachers. My father was a university graduate from Baroda (now Vadodra) university and I considered him to be the most knowledgeable and informative person. I am very fortunate to spend and learn a lot of history from him.
About Greek and Indian relationship. My father mentioned that it goes back to about four and half thousand years when it was Greek empire all round the Mediterranean Sea. Greeks sent boats from Egypt to Kerala in south India to buy silk and spices and bought goods with gold. At that time, there were even Chinese living in south India and their design of fishing nets are still used in Kerala.
India use to buy raw sugar from Egypt (originally known as Misar) transported by Banzara commonly known as Gipsy or Romany. That is why sugar was called Mishri in India. India sent raw sugar to be filtered into clear crystal sugar to China that’s why Cristal sugar was called Chini in north India. Reason india sent raw sugar to be refined in China was, Chinese used animals bone charcoal to filter sugar and Indians will not touch dead animal bones. Chinese trade included raw silk which was printed in Chennai and sent Kerala to be sold along with spices to the Greeks. And it is well documented in the Greek history.

According to Nilesh Oak's research, Sri Lanka is not the lanka of Ramayana. In another of his studies he has placed the mahabarata war as around 5561 BC. Ramayana is still older than mahabarata.

They're both some of the best stories with some of the best characters ever and they have great value. Attack on Titan ends up being extremely relevant to the real world and humans even though you might not think that at first. Vinland saga has great historical value,while also being a great display of characters. Dr. Stone is another anime which is entirely about science. The earth was petrified and when some humans break out, they go on a journey to rebuild civilization. It's fantastic. I think you will love it

Actually, that is a great point about the difference between Hindus and Buddist. Buddist only believes in Enlightenment which was taught by Buddha himself. Whereas Hindus believe in karma (deeds), dharma(duty), moksha (liberation from the cycle of death) and reincarnation (rebirth). I'm pretty sure I explain in dept that help people understand the context of two religion.
