    My wife always has herbal vinegars on the counter. She uses rosemary vinegars for herbal hair rinses. So she will add lavendar or chamomile or whatever else we're growing.

    I love the rustic implements on the wall. I have a wall off my kitchen with old implements and kitchen tools. I love rosemary and lavender together!

    Thank you for the great video ! I make a vinegar with my left over citrus peels and white vinegar for cleaning. Do you feel Apple cider vinegar would be a better vinegar to incorporate into a cleaning recipe? Thank you!

    Can I also use fresh herbs or do they have to be dry herbs?

      Hi there! You can certainly use fresh herbs. However, fresh herbs have more water, which can considerably shorten the shelf life of your vinegar. This is why most people prefer to use dried plant material for herb-infused vinegars. I would suggest keeping your vinegar with fresh herbs in the refrigerator to increase shelf-life if you go that route :)

      Thank you so much for your reply. I am delighted!! Which one will have the better scent, fresh or dried herbs? I’ve heard mixed reviews, so definitely wanted to ask the experts. 😍

    • @mountainroseherbs
      @mountainroseherbs  ปีที่แล้ว

      No problem! I'd say that while fresh herbs may have a stronger scent, the overpowering smell will still be the vinegar. Personally, I have noticed something like fresh garlic or rosemary being the most fragrant over the vinegar but even that still has a very strong vinegar scent. Hope that helps! - Gracie

    This is not making vinegar. It is infusing a vinegar.

    @2:32 "Rosemary and Vinegar infusing with the Vinegar..." i think you meant Lavender ?

    They make silicone lids/ seals that can be affixed in place with a standard metal ring and these will not react with the vinegar, thus one needn't use plastic lids.
