Every great area of life do reflections, I think that Carlton should’ve reflected on the second Collingwood game (Pendlebury’s 400th) and consider how Collingwood all played for Pendlebury that night That’s where Carlton have gone wrong recently, they have had the stars (ie Cripps, Curnow, Weitering and Walsh) do more than they should have to do and their role players have under delivered All things said, for a guy as accomplished as Cripps, he deserved a better 200th than what his team gave him, and I think his team should understand that
Agreed the togetherness needs to be risen at key moments especially when it's so few expected to perform. When we were flying we had 5 blokes you couldn't spot in a coles line performing like most clubs when you have many doing the tasks you'll win
I am so excited to welcome the boys to Canberra - we never get the big clubs here so had lost hope of Carlton ever coming. Excited to see the young’uns!
Love that North are getting a real early chance to practice out at Bunbury Oval WA. Takes any uncertainty out of when we play the Eagles again later in the H&A season. Most of all it'll be a real prerequisite for the bit if travelling North will have to do in tbe first half of their 2025 season. Should be a ripping practice match and not even the only one. North going up against Melbourne in a more local practice match towards the end of February too. Really like this as it gives our team a more earlier calmer clash to trial and error over some things and just get a solid workout before heading over to WA fir our other practice match.
Really keen to see how Port go about it post Dixon,he was such a big presence up forward players got seduced into kicking it to him alot, without him the long bomb into forward 50 won't work so have to lower eyes more now and hit targets more often and this should suit players like Todd Marshall and Jack Lukious who are more lead up forwards,Rioli,Richards,SPP and Joe Berry to mop everything up on the ground
They are all calling Collingwood Dad’s Army but now the old players have found themselves behind the 8 ball being surpassed by the kids (Edward Allan is the main standout apparently, and apparently Nick Daicos rates him as well, and Allan likes working with Nick so he should be a walk up start soon)
Evening Pommy, the early game you get a glimspe how the club thinks the young boys have progressed over the off season, a sighter whether the first games a real chance for any draftes. I'd expect Jagga to get some proper on groud time in this game. Might give us baggers a indication of how our onballers are going to settle and the game plan to follow. Agree mate Haynes has to start in this game. Go Pom, Go Blues.
@@PommyinOZ Mate can't wait, actualy getting a bit excited, proving age dosesn't matter when it comes to your clubs pre season, we're all dreamy idiots.
Boring practice matches with nothing at stake. The AFL should revive the Pre Season Trophy. Turn it into a challenge series, kind of what the NRL are doing with their pre season. All teams play two matches a piece. 4 points for a win, 2 points for a draw, percentage apply and bonus points depending on how much the winning team of each match wins by, 1 point for a 25 points and over win, 2 points for a 50 points and over win and 3 points for a 75 points and over win. Just to make things interesting again to kick off the pre season.

Would love a decent pre season vibe feel we've just added scratch games for the sake of TV rev
