Wow my ladder prediction is actually very similar. Fully agree with Fremantle to be the big risers and Port to fall. The only difference is that I have a bit more faith in Gold Coast. If their home game is to be as good as it was in 24 and their away game to improve enough to at least snag a few wins I think they'll spend a decent chunk of the season in the top 8 and contend for finals for once but might just fall short in the end.
I reckon West Coast will be the biggest improvers for 2025. New coach & new game plan, plus Owies, Graham and Baker added to the list. They won't make the Finals, but will give their fans a lot of hope for the future. It'll be interesting to see how North goes with the additions of Parker & Darling. If the Suns don't make the Finals again this season, the AFL hve to ask some serious questions about this club. Especially with the Tasmanian Devils entering the comp in 2028.

Very fair assessment of North mate. Recent history tells us that my Roo's aren't anymore capable of rising higher than 15-16th. Like you said seeing is believing and much like any North fan we feel that's very much the case. But hey, off the bottom 2 would be nice but hopefully not our floor as I'd really like to see North hit 6-8 wins at least and hopefully that can result in a higher ladder finish. Anything between 12-14th would be a pass for NM, 6-8 wins at a minimum with a percentage 80-85% or better. Setting a high standard for my Roo's but we have to start being more accountable for what we serve up and I'm comfortable with the higher level of pressure.
It’s tough to pick one of the top 4 sides to drop, it happens every year however. Port have a great midfield but do have their issues as either end of the ground. Pressure continues to grow on Ken, but seem to play good footy when that occurs. Just my early thoughts.
No dixon so no more bombing it in. Have trained a handball friendly fast paced style so far this year with all of our key forwards being lead up players. Jack lukisious is a underrated addition. Plus we actually have a few gun small fwds in spp, rioli, dBi, Berry, Joe richards (horne francis) when he's there.
The Lions only lost Daniher in the the off season and got Coleman, Ashcroft, Dodee, McCarthy, Marshall and Sam Day. Too many Ins that want a slice of the premiership pie to fall out of the 8

I think Harley Reid needs a mentor that knows how to deal with having a tagger, he proved this year he can't yet and lost his composure, once he works that out he is gonna be a generational player. Big call on Hawthorn.

I mean Young only had his 1st season as a midfielder last year, and he was the best in the comp for quite a few rounds. I think Geelong, Brisbane, and Hawthorn are all more likely to stay than drop. Yeah always want change, following the guidelines I had I felt there's at least enough for a realistic one. Still feels there needs to be more 'laughable' calls for it to be more realistic though.
I know. GWS 5th? The Giants have huge mental scars after the semi final loss. They needed to review the loss one or two days after that day. Instead, they waited till the off-season and have let those scars go deeper into the players. They ain't making the 8.

I know. GWS 5th? The Giants have huge mental scars after the semi final loss. They needed to review the loss one or two days after that day. Instead, they waited till the off-season and have let those scars go deeper into the players. They ain't making the 8.
Port play 13 games at Adelaide Oval and you think they will finish 12th lol.....and they are pretty good on the road unlike sides like Crows and Suns..so they will win more than 12 games .... .they will finish 3-6 range
