It was only mentioned briefly here, but I honestly think it’s the most important aspect of league. Learning how to keep your brain on for the whole match is SUPER important and you’ll find yourself making like 90% less mistakes if you actually focus on it.

idk who said this but 20% of ur games are gonna be loses u cant do anithing about, 20% are gonna be easy free wins, and 60% of the time ur the main factor in the game, like in life if u put effort into something results will always be positive, as someone who played league since season 6 and reached grandmaster multiple times in last 3-4 years, main thing u need to do is to improve ur mental, just remmeber how many losing games u had and u actualy won them at the end, games u thought are 100% lost, bad days will happen good days will happen, but just remmeber at the end of the day its just a game and u can improve if u try, going into games every day thinking its pointless and that ur going to lose, that there is no reason to try to do better will get u nowhere, same applies in life.

I don't want to be that guy but last split I started listening to BBC at work, really paying attention. Watching a lot of vods, Skill Capped, etc. Playing in a structured way - working on single key skills at a time, playing in 2 or 3 game blocks, reviewing, only playing one champion as possible, being really conscious of cs, roam timers, wave control, trading, etc - generally playing with high intensity and curiosity etc etc. Went from Iron 2 to Bronze 3 (peaked in Bronze 2 for a short time). Then the split reset happened and I'm Iron again XD - back to the grind. A lot of what you had to say is exactly my plan and execution so I am glad for this reinforcement and hopeful for the future

Tbh tips you will most often find at BBC or skillcapped are fairly advanced, meant for plat-diamond bracket macro things. Not to say you wasted time, because these things will be very useful to you eventually, but having a good macro without mechanical skills to back it up can often simply not yield results (unless you play champion that sidesteps that to an extent). Its just, if you are heavily behind, your good decisions simply lack weight, because u may be in good place on the map, u may be doing the right thing, but you wont have stats necessary for it to work. If you are iron-bronze, you should pick a champion or two and just try to get pretty good mechanically at it.

One thing to add, once you get to the higher elos like emerald and beyond, you won't climb just by "learning a new skill". At this point everyone knows how to play so you need to learn *a lot of skills* to make a difference.
And it is not just about learning skills, it is about playing perfectly. Your performance in a game is based on the amount of good decisions/plays that you make and minimization of the bad plays / mistakes that you do. The more good plays you do and the less mistakes you do the higher elo you will climb.

Maybe they know better how to end the game.

In diamond people still makes tons of mistakes, but that's were the things changes. I fucking loved this video, as a challenger player this is actually the best analytic breakdown I've heard in years right next to Curtis's shit. 10/10 you magnificent bastard, very well said. Bravo. With that mindset you're just like us up here, stick to it and you're going to make it man. You've even reignited my spark. No, even being up at the top of ladder we still do not know the whole game, we're still learning new things every season. You don't stop learning honestly, there's always something new to digest and put into practice and once you get that feeling of it clicking- you're a rocket blasting off. Just don't lose the mindset like a lot of us do, we forget that, we autopilot, we lose faith and blame it on boomer hands when all reality it's just your mindset is tired. I'm guilty of that. I've been playing for 15 years, I've heard every excuse in the book, and this is the game at it's core. I hope the remaining players never forget that and keep striving on your downtime to find that passion. It's not easy, it never will be. I'm having a hard time myself at this point in time. It flows and ebbs like a minion wave, try to hold on to it as long as possibly and have faith that all those negative funny numbers will turn into positives. You put in the effort, it'll work out. I promise.

In gameplay terms, it certainly depends on how much the players know about the game. When to retreat, when to fight, limit test. You know, internal knowledge that only by trial and error and with experience, you show the knowledge in practice
But that's all thrown out of the window when it comes to League of Shitters(as one properly said it)
Non-professional games are like this, which team has the worst player(s). Professional games certainly show who is skilled and which team has the most chemistry together. But with how the matchmaking is, it is an E-drug casino rigged fiesta. This EOMM(engagement optimized matchmaking) sole goal is to engage, to draw the attention to the game so you can play It for more.
Playing more means you sacrifice the limited time you have, to this game,in hopes of taking it seriously and maybe buy a skin or something.
It's not supposed to be taken seriously, all online competitive games have it in this era(FIFA, Overwatch, COD)
Stop thinking about digital numbers and pixels, certainly stop trying to boast and flex as this game is more of a mess.
Yes, there is a difference between an experienced Lee sin versus a first timer. But remember, the sacrifices the experienced Lee sin player has made just to reach that point. Was it really worth it?
If he is casual and doesn't take the game seriously, does off meta stuff, plays like a true sportsmanlike, then yes, he is an actual good player(not in terms of skill).
But if he is the type of toxic, losing calm and Always being angered easily, then what's the point of playing this mess? To win?
Don't let numbers and defeats of a game and especially a digital one, shape the life and your personality.
Developers now only want your money and attention just like ads and websites. You're the product, they gain information and money. Learn to think like that, so you can avoid taking the game seriously.
If you're a pro team, that's another topic which is obvious to even the blind.
But for people, like me, who love the style of the game, how it flows and to play their favourite Hero (Kayle) in every role(mostly bot lane). If they have fun (by playing normally, not trolling and losing their cool), and playing within reason(not playing for too long),then l believe this is the correct mentality someone should have.
They are many times these one sided games where you can't do anything and you can feel it is not natural (same if you're winning one sided too). Regardless, don't blame your teammates, blame yourself. Either if you did bad plays, or lost your cool and judged your teammates or the enemy or just for taking the game seriously in the first place.
Because, what's the point of playing a game that destroys you? Isn't it the same as smoking? Or doing any vice with supreme desire to keep doing?
It all starts and ends, with our internal war. Ask yourself, not your teammates or enemies why they trolled or whatever, ask yourself why l am taking this game seriously or this game takes my whole day and life away.

_Gather ‘round, everyone, for the legendary saga of a League of Legends player, eight long years deep into their adventure, yet still lost in the darkest corners of the Rift like a minion without a path. This is no ordinary player, oh no - this is a tale of perseverance, of someone who has managed to avoid progress so masterfully, you’d think they’re being sponsored by failure itself. Enter Lux, the easiest champion in the game, a champion whose abilities are so forgiving that a toddler could land a Q, yet here we are, watching this player dodge success harder than their enemies dodge their skillshots._
_Now, let's talk farming - or, in your case, the fine art of not farming. Watching you last-hit minions is like watching a slow-motion car crash, except I’m not sure if you're even in the car. It's almost poetic how consistently you manage to whiff on minions that are practically begging to be hit. Seriously, how do you even survive with that CS? I’m convinced that if Riot added a ‘farm assist mode’ where Lux’s E auto-aimed at minions, you’d still find a way to miss. It’s like you’ve taken an oath of non-violence when it comes to gold._
_Honestly, even bots farm better than you. They must sit in their AI-controlled games, looking at your CS score and wondering, 'Is this what it’s like to have your brain unplugged mid-game?' Riot might as well turn your gameplay into an educational video: 'Welcome to League of Legends! Here’s how not to farm for 25 minutes straight.'_
_Then we move on to trading, or as I like to call it, your personal charity mission. Watching you try to poke is like watching someone throw feathers at a brick wall, hoping to do damage. Every time you step up, it’s like you’re signing a contract to donate 50% of your health bar to your lane opponent. Honestly, it’s generous, I’ll give you that. You’ve turned trading into a one-sided donation drive, where the only thing you're giving is free kills and opportunities._
_And 8 years? Eight whole years of doing this? That’s not dedication - that’s an odyssey of failure on a scale that’s almost heroic. You’ve crafted a personal narrative of badness that most people couldn’t recreate if they tried. It’s like you’ve been working on a PhD in being bad at Lux, and let me tell you, you’re overqualified. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if your mouse had only two buttons: one to miss skillshots and the other to feed._
_But hey, at least you’re consistent, right? And that’s got to count for something! I mean, most people would accidentally improve after that much time, but not you - you’ve stayed true to your roots, grinding away at mediocrity like it’s your full-time job. Maybe, just maybe, it’s time to set Lux free. Try something with no skill, not much aiming. Maybe Yuumi is more your speed. You can latch on to someone else that actually knows what they're doing and just sit back. Nothing personal tho_

I know this comment is maybe too late but.....I was Diamond 3 before rank reset and now I am stuck in E3. I get like +20 -18 LP for a game, that is like almost the same. And the worst thing about this is I have been getting this since I played the rank placements :(. In Diamond I was getting all positive people and the game was actually FUN. Now I am getting people who are toxic right of the start in draft, or people who give up after dying two times on a gank and it just feels like imposible for me to have the hand over the game. Usually I perform well. But no matter what I do, it just feels like a complet gambit, depending on what teammates I get. I am saying this as a guy who would always say that if you are not winning it's YOU, but holy shit this is actually insane what I have experienced.
I never thought that I would actually get to this point. But since I have been playing characters like Zoe, Vel'koz and stuff. I developted a play-style about playing around your teammates. And this has worked well in Diamond. But in Emerald people are just bad. And that counts for my team and the other. But my roster of champions just doesn't allow single carry as much as other champions do. But I just don't want to spend time playing champions that I don't like.
Now I don't know what to do. maybe wait another 60 days for another rank reset or idk.

    Yes.
    Can you win at League?
Absolutely, I can dominate my lane 10/1.
Will that translate into a win?
Not when their mid, jungle, and bottom all are 10/1 too, so no, regardless of how good you are, the game will fuck you, I've had a Master friend play on my account and even he said the teams I get are uncariable.

You are lying. If you were truly that unstoppable and making decisions that good, you would climb, full stop. If you’re 10-1 out of laning phase, you can 1v2. If you can force 1v2s repeatedly and win them, your team controls every objective on the map and can no longer lose. The problem is you suck, and until you accept that you will never stop sucking.

From having played for years I'm just gonna share my thoughts before I finish the video. In fact, I just got to the intro and will share my thoughts. I'll edit later if I feel like I have something else to say.
There are a few complicated issues in the ranked system. ELO hell is real in the sense that there is an ELO range where people simply don't know how the game works and so certain ways of playing the game that kinda relies on your team at least knowing the basics of the game will not work as well in those ranges as they would in higher ELO. Like you're not gonna get a bronze player to ward properly and there is a 50/50 chance they never look at the mini-map all game. You can also get stuck with loosing way more LP per match than you win which means it'll be a lot harder to make proper progress if you've struggled for a few years (like I have, good game knowledge, awful in-game execution of said knowledge) leaving you stuck in lower ELO with those teams that just don't play the same game as higher ELO players and you're losing 2 wins worth of LP on a loss. This is not to say you can't get out of here purely on your own skill but it does mean that you may have valid reasons to make an alt account because you might well start in gold instead of bronze after placements.

I hit GM in season 14's second spit after learning fundamentals, meta, and matchups as an Emerald on the first spit. I've learnt that this game is, in fact, luck (teammates) based. By playing Meta champs and roam, you can reduce the risk greatly. Your win rate will be higher, around 60 and 65, but it won't be as high as the clickbait VDO that other content producers provide. You should give it a shot if you want to succeed. Personally, I feel terrible that I have to abuse meta to win, rather than just enjoying the champ I love, which is terrible during that season or patch.

okay its kinda true but if it was all skill based, you shouldve been mvp in all of your wins. i consider every win where im not mvp as insanely lucky, since that means one of your teammates was better than you, for me that pretty much never happens, if i win, im mvp simple as that. once every 20 games i win a game where im not mvp. so getting a 10 game winstreak for you was still mostly luck, you carried 4 out of 6, got lucky in the rest. you can look at your losses the same way, if you lose and you were ace, then you were unlucky, if you lose and you are not ace, then you just suck at the game.

What you say seems impossible but please bare with me when I guess some possible reasons why you feel this way:
      1. Winning line is very loose term, do you mean going 10/0 or just few CS up? See for example if you play mid and play Yasuo vs Azir and you went 1 plate up and 10 CS up you might claim you won your line but in fact due to scaling difference you accualy lost line
      2. Winning the line is just an aspect of the game, a part of big picture. Even if your line would be challanger lvl but you map awarness, teamfights, macro and roaming will be iron you will be a bronze player at the end.
      3. Game splits are 30/40/30 imo, meaning 30% you autolose, 30% you have to just not suck to win and 40% is up to you beeing better than your opponent. So if you are always better you should have 70% WR.

When you loose 2 in a rows stop playing and if you really wanna climb you review. But yes as many said you have to keep in mind that some lost games are just a team diff (roughly 20%) I think. If you play well , you win more , if you win more you increase the lp and the mmr , but the lp goes faster so your gains will be less positive , the more stuck and old is your acc , so longer it takes , but if you was lets say bronze 4 with + 25 - 25 and you climb to silver 4 with high wr lets say 70 , now you are doing + 18 - 30 even tho you have positive wr , it doesnt mean that you are stuck , you got + 400 lp , but maybe + 200 mmr , so you actually did + 200 the visible rank doesnt really matter . Also , smurfs goes higher way faster but it doesnt prove that you are better than your main acc rank , riot tries to place smurfs as fast as possible having few games to analyse , sometimes they place you higher that you should be , sometimes lower , but it adjust quickly , like everything in league rank system , its all about time , no one can be placed correctly if they dont play much , the moment you are hardstuck is finally the moment where the game puts you on your skill level . @@hjfeldt4998you will hit your ceiling once you make that account with the new gains, the rank system works when you put in the games. Your story fucking sucks when explaining the ranked system because its one analogy. And if you are better than you elo you WILL climb, which is why the ranked system works. Saying ive seen iron player better than me and grandmaster players worse is just ridiculous because while that may be true, iron player will INT at ur elo 90% of time and the grandmaster player will STOMP 90% of the time. Stop the fucking cope and either lock in or quit.

Not rly, ur method does work, but that's ofc depends on the champs u play and the team u get. I know how to win every game, but in that process I need to avoid ppl stealing my stuff and that's impossible, since my champ will lose SO MUCH if I got stolen from a kill, a jgl cs or a minion. And since Riot will never bann ppl who troll by stealing others, neither will I give a fk to improve my rank. The game is so much focused on champion diff, if u play op champs like Syndra who has FKING TRUE DMG in late, so there is no need for brain and magic penetration or u play vayne who just max hp true dmg or Draven who walks with attack speed 4th shot from Jhin kind of dmg. Then ur method will make these champs easily win almost every game adn improve.
But if u play weak champs like Kalista, Kayn, Aurelion sol, etc... Those champs that relies so much at getting a head to carry, its impossible.
