Nice Biscuit also a lovely album, just haven't lived with it long enough for my 2024z a Steve Carlson inspired purchase. Sleater Kinney made my video, it was released on January 19 this year. And Cure of course 😊 Got the 3rd by the Smile, not the 2nd (annoying I know) but haven't had enoygh time with them. Have you heard Philips stint with Neil Finns supergroup 7 Worlds Collide? Hi Mike, YT recommended me this video and now I'm like why didn't I hear from you earlier. Man, lots of new music for me to discover. That's great. Didn't get a lot of new stuff this year. The latest I got is Words From a Wishing Well by Shower Curtain (funnily enough, I still haven't received the record yet, Fire Talk shipping is not the fastest..) My pick would be Geordie Greep - The New Sound. It's not for everyone, it's quite intense.. Also really liked that some tracks are a little different on the vinyl compared to the digital version. In a different style, electronica, Seefeel - Everything Squared.. I know it's an EP not a full length album.. but it's their first release in decades... Another pick is 5MINUUST x PUULUP collab album of 2 Estonian bands (I spare you the album name) that I discover this year thanks to the Eurovision Song Contest no less (who would have thought, right?). Finally, unfortunately not available on vinyl (yet), Minaxi - The Reverberating Sound of an Absent Metropolis now, I have to get my hands on that Jack White album... wasn't even aware of it. Cheers

Super chuffed to see Elephant Stone in your countdown, possibly the first time I've seen it in another list this year. There is so damn much great psych pop that people are sleeping on it's ridiculous, including The Sonic Dawn, Dream Phases, MOOON, Magick Brother & Mystic Sister, Levitation Room, Caldwell, Crumb, The Galileo 7, The Honey Pot, Susan James and more. Along the lines of Goat Girl and Finom, I'd recommend The Narcotix, Smoke Bellow and Memorials. I was at that same St. Vincent show at Riot Fest -- love her guitar playing, was frustrated by her albums throughout the 2010s, the latest is her best in over a decade. But I love her British psych prog doppleganger even more, Rosalie Cunningham. Here's my picks, leaving out the metal and heavy psych that doesn't seem to be in your wheelhouse. 1. I’m with you on the Jack White album but I’m the opposite regarding The White Stripes is my preference vs his solo except this one No Name which is on steady rotation on my turntable the other is The Smile Cut Outs , I don’t have Wall of Eyes but I have the first which name is to long to mention to me it’s Radiohead with a twist it’s hard to get away from Yorke’s vocals which can be repetitive at times

I’m with you on the Jack White album but I’m the opposite regarding The White Stripes is my preference vs his solo except this one No Name which is on steady rotation on my turntable the other is The Smile Cut Outs , I don’t have Wall of Eyes but I have the first which name is to long to mention to me it’s Radiohead with a twist it’s hard to get away from Yorke’s vocals which can be repetitive at times
