In this weeks video of my show you how to replace a broken muffler on a 2010 Dodge grand Caravan with Stow and go to storage and a 3.3 L with a automatic. This is definitely a job that is not recommended to do in the driveway or really possible to do in the driveway. Nonetheless I hope you find it helpful and at the very least entertaining. I don't know if that's sarcasm or if I was actually happy in this video lol. Unfortunately most of us are pretty miserable. If you watch a few of my other videos you'll soon see how happy I can be sometimes lol. Thank you for watching and for the wonderful compliment.

I don't remember off the top of my head what was charged for this but I think the muffler was between $200 to $300 and installation usually is between 200 to 300 as well depending on how rough it is. If you have any questions feel free to reach out.

😂Such great humour, wit & mechanic teaching skills. Why not clamps instead of welding? How much would you charge for this job juet pipe reconnection, not a new muffler or catalytic.? My exhaust pipe just disconnected on hwy & is dragging underneath.

You can clamp it however I find clamping is not really the best thing because it tends to be loose until it rust up and can leak. However if welding is not a option clamping is the way to go. It all depends if it's dragging and there's nothing to salvage then we end up replacing it however most times when coming to labour it's between 200 and $300 Canadian, however it really depends on the situation.

Dose the water help keep the dust down 😮😊

The water? When I was smashing off the pipe? In most instances depending upon whatever you're doing water definitely does help keep us down but I can't remember in the video what you might be referring to.

Welding is a big no no especially1 inch from the gas tank. Clamp is the way to go.

I don't know my friend I've never had an issue and I've been doing it for 22 years so. I think it depends on skill level and how you do it. But if you're not comfortable with welding definitely use a clamp it is a good alternative.

The ~$100 Walker 55559 claims it's a "Direct-fit bolt-on replacement solution... and doesn't require specialized fabrication and/or welding." Is this a bunch of BS? 🤣

Unfortunately my friend with the majority of direct fit replacement exhaust products you're not going to have a direct fit product. They almost 99% of the time need some sort of modification to make them fit properly. Mind you most of them don't need major modification it is however not always as easy as people think and I definitely suggest to be prepared for the worst before attempting the job. At the very least have a muffler shop that's willing to take on the job if you can't complete it.

I'm preparing to do this job. Bought both the walker resonator (53749) and muffler (55559). They slip fit one into the other perfectly. Based on the video, looks like the walker muffler inlet slips over the pipe from the converter no problem.
