Our fifth walk whist on staycation in North Uist. A wee walk over to and about the island of Vallay.

A word of warning, on this one....you MUST check the tides out before you go. This walk requires the tide to be out! You will also have limited time on the island before you need to head back, before the tide comes in. Make sure you know the route. You have a map and compass and you now how to use them.

Thanks for the video! Heard about this place on a Scottish Gaelic TV programme. A small community lived here once. Now Vallay is uninhabited and the old mansion that belonged to Erskine Beveridge is falling to pieces.
Tapadh leat airson a' bhidio! Chuala mi mu dheidhinn an àite seo ann am prògram Tbh sa Ghàidhlig. Latha a bha siud, bha coimhearsnachd bheag a' fuireach an seo. An-diugh, chan eil duine sam bith a' fuireach air Bhàlaigh agus tha an seann taigh a bha le Erskine Beveridge a' tuiteam às a chèile.
