Even tho you've had high points in this journey... your situation totally blows. You two are so much calmer than I would ever be. Yes, I've been yanked around by mechanics. It's never easy. I hope things smooth out for you for a while. That elopment thing was so cool. 😀 I'm glad they let us see it. Hang in there. Time with family is usually an uplifting event, and you deserve some. Oh, and thanks for listing the elevations. I always want to know since I'm severely limited by COPD. ☮️
Nice find with that $15 campground! 👍 Really sucks that you got stranded all the way out there in Hines, especially with this heat wave we're having in Oregon right now. What a pain to have to go through all those several components to eventually get the diagnosis. I guess at least now you have a few new parts in the rig. Glad you were able to get service! Safe travels!
I love Sisters. Went to the Outdoor Quilt Show (every 2nd Saturday in July) about 10 years ago and it was 116 degrees. I live in cool Southern California so it was WAY too hot for me. But the PNW is my favorite area to be in. Love your channel! ~Kim
I know the frustration of trying to get repairs while on road! When I lost my transmission in the van, on a Sat had just went through Reno, got towed back! On Mon. spent 3 hrs calling around and finally found a place that could get it in!! Yeah, took them 2 weeks to get the transmission, and get it in!! 2 wks in a hotel, costing me $95 per night for Mon-Thu but Fri, Sat and Sun they charged $123 per night!! 16 days total and $6500 to shop!! And on my way to San Antonio Tx (wasn't my destination) something start squawling in the front tires area!! The break something or another had been damaged by the lift of a rack when it had not been properly alined on!! That was another $3400 to change out and repair!! Taking a 12 days!! But thankfully my sister lived there and I was able to crash at her place!! And my boss, who is the one who paid for all of the repairs and the hotel, Thankfully, didn't yell at me for what he had put out of pocket that month!! All he said was " Those were not your doings, and I can use them as a tax expense!!" But for 10 yrs, whenever any repairs were done on the road, or even when I went home, I kept copies of all repairs and oil changes, actually anything to do with his van contacted to the company!! So as I could refer to anything if needed be, or boss could asked for another copy because he lost his for the accountant!!
😱😱😱😱😱😱😱oh my word what a nightmare!!!! nothing going your way and expenses thru the roof!!!! transmission breaking is the big fear. thank you so much for sharing this story!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
