I’m a TBI survivor people are so ignorant about disability’s . Hearing Debra’s story inspires me to try to get out on the road .Brain injuries are known as the invisible disability. People have no idea how difficult it is living with a TBI . I can tell you none of us want to live on disability we all want our lives back to before our injuries. Safe travels Debra
It’s very frustrating when even your family don’t believe your illness, because you are the first person to have this illness and externally look good.
Debra, I'm so sorry that there have been people who feel the need to actually threaten someone they don't understand or agree with. Thank you for sharing your story; and keep on living!
I feel like Bob is about as close to a living ,real life saint as anyone could be. not to say the man is perfect, I don't know him personally , maybe he has a dark side as well , most everyone has good and bad about them, but his work in this world is something very great , he has brought hope and a new lease on life to countless people who felt hopeless.I dont live in an RV I have a home that is very affordable because I bought it a long time ago but I know things can go sideways very quickly and I find comfort knowing even if that does happen I have options and it will be ok.
Good Gracious, that is unbelievable about the hate over her brain injury. My Marine son in law has the same. People should be grateful that people in this situation can function at all and are alive to share life with us.
Bob, thanks for featuring Debra and her motor home . I'm going to investigate what kind of life stories she has written about. I love her attitude and glad she is still with us.
My thanks to Bob Wells too. I spent two years before I retired watching every video I he had. So when I did become a nomad, I had the self-confidence to keep going. I’m into my fifth year.💙🧢
What a lovely interview! A courageous, optimistic lady. God bless her. And, as usual, Bob’s interviewing skills are a wonder to behold. God bless both of you!
The stress & abundance of concrete makes it difficult for peace & gratitude. I'm happy for Debra & really not too surprised ❤ Mother Nature is medicine for the body, mind & Soul
There are many people out there with "invisible" illnesses, like TBI, and who are on disability of one sort or another. Debra has always been open about the difficulties she has and I know she wants to encourage others with invisible illnesses to believe in themselves. The nomad life has helped many of us overcome obstacles we never thought we could and people like Bob Wells and Debra Dickinson are instrumental in helping people to discover their potential. Thanks to both of you! 🥰
Debra is such an inspiration! One of the biggest pleasures of my life was meeting Debra at KOKO fest. Her videos helped me to heal from my injuries and accept that it is ok to be the way I am now. Thanks to you both.
Invisible disabilities do exist, folks! I am living with multiple chronic conditions that are not visible to the eye, but have made it much harder to do things day to day. Debra, you are not alone and deserve respect and dignity. I hope you no longer receive death threats regarding your TBI.
My husband had renal failure & dialysis when we were in early 20’s. We were both incredibly healthy people. We had 5 kids under 5 years. I was using food stamps at grocery store. As I went to pay with stamps I hear "I knew it. Look she’s on food stamps having a ton of kids. You know we are paying for those groceries". I stopped, turned & said "my husband has kidney failure due to pneumonia. He is D-Y-I-N-G(kids were there). I started crying & said "we didn’t choose this. We adopted 3 of my brothers kids when he & his wife had an accident & went to "heaven". Those women stopped, shocked. NEVER, EVER judge a person or question a Handicap sign in a vehicle. It’s none of your business. Life is hard enough. Find Grace. It’s free.
No one should do that to you. My son and I were on food stamps. I was working at daycare center. Substitute teaching the dirty looks were very common. I can't stand mean and heartless people. Your husband is very sick. You guys have kids to feed. Sending hugs and prayers from Illinois.🙏🙏
Hi Bob...i am so happy you had Debra on your channel again. I love her to pieces, and shes a ray of sunshine! Thank you for all you do for her and everyone! God Bless you!
I’ve been here since the beginning, and when we first met Debra I had no idea I was living with a major brain tumor. Even so, I found her inspiring. I hit the road not realizing in a couple of years I’d have to focus on my health. Now I’m working to get back out there, living as a nomad on Disability. Through it all, Bob has been my North Star, and I am honored to have been to 2 RTRs and actually meet you both. I can’t thank you enough, truly, and I hope to see you down the road.
Debra is my Friend and amazes me constantly. So happy that you were there for her to help her achieve success in life, Bob. Love to you both & see you down the road!💙👍🐕
Thanks to Bob Wells and Debra for a great video. So inspiring! Debra so sorry you have been thru so much ridicule from people who do not have a clue.❤❤❤
Oh Debra, my fellow Texan, what an inspiration you are to me!!!! I have been living with MS for over 30 years and also teach full time. I teach my wonder, special students who have various cognitive and behavior disabilities!! My dream is also to go "full time nomad" and seeing someone like you, with a similar story, gives me hope!! Thanks for all you do and thanks to Bob for his service to others!! y'all are rockstars!!!!
I could listen to Debra & Bob talk for hours. They are both a testament to the mental health benefits of nomad life, and the pursuit of a life well lived. A life lived intentionally. May they both live to be 100, on the road and making videos helping others.
Thank you for the video, Bob, showcasing once again Debra's journey. Being a long time sub of Debra's, I can tell you that her videos are positive, adventurous, funny, encouraging and teaching. I enjoy watching her and Jana as they tour the country, cook wonderful meals and meet up with some cool people.
Society is very uninformed regarding TBI’s and it is a shame. I had one too, I am ‘recovered’ which means I function very well, but I am not who or how I used to function before. When others have no before and after, they just don’t get it. You are doing so great! Am really happy for your success! Will begin watching for your video’s. May you have a miracle every single day!
What a wonderful story! Thank you both for sharing this here! My sister suffered a brain aneurism and surgery, we were not sure if she would make it! But now 14 years later she is still with us and has a wonderful attitude. Who ever said "ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING" knew just how important it is! Thriving is very often a state of mind! I needed the reminder today! Thank you so much!
Oh my! I'm in such a similar position! Head injury, disability lower than you! I do own my home and have a small reserve but hope soon be on the road as well! I hope to meet you out there someday! Can't wait to see the vid of your rig! Thanks so much for sharing and THANK YOU BOB!
Debra is such a wonderful person. I am privileged to be part of her KOKOfam. Bob, thank you for being her friend and mentor and helping to save her life through teaching her how to be a nomad. And thank you for helping so many others, like me, through your videos and book.
Anybody slinging death threats at someone given the "long face" by their Doc has never faced an ounce of uncertainty or traumatic injury in their pitiful lives.
Bob is a master at his craft. Knowledgeable and his communication skills unrivaled. The timing of his questions and understanding is top shelf. I always look forward to meeting his friends. She is a awesome gal.
Thanks Bob for sharing and updating us with Debra's story! Debra you just keep on - keepin' on! What a beautiful soul you have and an inspiration to many. ❤
I understand a lot of her story I was very early 30 s told I would be dead in 2 years we moved to the country and never looked back and it's been 15 years now I want to travel and should be on the road in 2 years if all goes well. Thank you for your inspiration
sweet! Both you Bob and you Debra are inspirations for us all. Keep on living and loving life! And writing books and making videos. God bless you both!
AWEsome interview! Debra Dickenson is wonderful. My favorite books of hers are "How Being a Nomad Saved my Life" and the Trilogy she has out now. The KOKO series is outstanding. Thanks for the video Bob Wells and Debra.

What a brave and wonderful woman you are, Debra! What an impressive story. I really get so much hope out of what you share. I am sure you will inspire many many more people with your experience, strength and hope. Thanks Debra and Bob, you are both heroes! Jason
I’m a disabled woman. My disability is not visible. I worked 32 years for a major telecommunications company. I didn’t want to retire but I was forced to. I was only 51 years old at the time. So Debra just keep on keeping on!! God Bless You 🙏🙏🙏

For awhile, I taught middle school science. I know personally that teaching is challenging with 💯 perfect health. Blessings to you. No matter what, don't give up on your dreams. I'm proud of you and you've got this! 🥰🙏🏼
Debra, just as you keep putting yourself out there to help others, I want to shower you with love to nullify the not nice stuff that's come at you. I also have an invisible disability and that's just another way of serving our Creator with love. You're such a light in this world. Love and hugs and blessings!!!
Thank you for the update on Debora. What an inspiration. It is really sad people try to beat especially women down with threats. I hope the feds find those people and make them do some public service at the least.. Bob, thank you for all you do for the community. ❤😊

I've seen you come so far just in the past 3-4 years of following you. I am so proud of you and your amazing journey. Your life is the perfect example of 'You Can't Keep A Good Woman Down!" I am so blessed to call you friend, Debra. Oh, I am right there with you when people say that my Social Security that I worked since age 15 to pay into is MINE! I paid into it, is 'Welfare!' It most definitely is not. Im so very thankful that your doctor was wrong! Hugs Sweet Friend!!!

We love your comment! Blessings dear ones🌱
Thank you for the support and understanding. HugZ and KOKO!
Yup, people like that, life's losers, need, sadly, to attack others to make themselves feel good about their pathetic little existence. SHAME on them.
Praying for You Debra 🙌✝️🙏❣️
I can’t believe how much Debra has improved over the years. It brings a lot of joy to see how well she is doing.
This person was polite, compassionate, and appreciative of others.
Lesson for us all… don’t wait too long to pull the ripcord. Thanks for that message.

Awesome
Thinking about it.
Lately I have questioned about these illegals coming in.
What do you think?
@@debbiebolek2117I think humans are not illegal. They are people just like you and me. ….moms and dads and children trying to find a better life.
Thank you, Debra & Bob, for sharing this story. Bob this is your brother from another mother.
