I only share these scenes because I am a fan of banana splits, and not all of us have HBO Max. I honestly don't like these banana splits.

It makes sense too, they were once huge stars in the 60’s before fading away to obscurity (evident by the lines “did you know? We used to he cool too” & “don’t try to be cool kid, it doesn’t last anyways” and the horror movie definitely didn’t help matters

two years after the banana splits movie, the banana splits continues to be antagonists in jellystone, but this time as a light hearted group of petty criminals instead of blood thirsty animatronics.

This show was developed by the person who made Chowder. Thus, the animation style.

Despite only catching it by sheer chance on Cartoon Network back in the day, I always had a weird fondness for the Banana Splits, to the point where I feel like I'm part of a weird in-joke where I actually know who they are.
I'm gonna be honest. I LOVE having them as a gang of hooligan criminals. It's super fun, and gives them something to make them unique instead of just "generic fun animal guys".
The Banana Splits haven't been the same since they became FNAF knock-offs.

After their terrible movie a few years ago, this is probably the best thing these guys have been in, even if they are portrayed as villains. If WB wanted to make a movie that looks cute and scary then they should have made an original film that is loosely inspired by FNAF like Willy’s Wonderland, it didn’t really need the Banana Splits. Heck the animatronics could be clowns, that would make for an interesting film wouldn’t it?

This is by and large greenblatt's vision. I feel that these interpretations of hannah barbera characters are valid and enhance the original iterations. A good adaptation can exist on its own without having to rely on its source material. Jellystone i feel can stand on its own without relying on the source material while still paying homage to the source material. Jellystone does not feel like a cashgrab but rather an evolution on the style of humor C.H Greenblatt worked on for decades. also disrespect is kinda hard to give to shows that history did not look kindly on. If someone sees jellystone they might seek out the original shows and watch that too.
