Honestly this is simply just proof of dogs who are actually properly socialized. As you can see, the COs are just ignoring the Kangal instead of engaging and even then that Kangal isn't even being aggressive or such, instead just attempting attention-seeking behavior as a ways to engage them in PLAY instead of a show of dominance or desire to fight and all. Really, this is just more of an example of well-rounded dogs who have good socialization put in and conflict resolution skills when it comes to canine-canine interactions.
Absolutely! Aggression in these dogs is far more obvious, the Kangal was in no way being dominant. I would say however, that the two CO's are socialized and mannered (the one laying down only being a bit iffy due to being harassed), whereas the Kangal, while not aggressive in any way, definitely missed a few classes in self management. His body cues are a little off, and he doesn't quite know how to interact appropriately when seeking to play and fool around. He also did not read the other dogs' body language when they declined the invite to play and pressed on. Nothing malicious or dominant about him, he's just a little clumsy with his socializing.

They are not easy pets, I recomend a sheperd dog for You if You are an experienced dog ovner, and if You need that special high level of protection what a good sheperd dog can do for You. You can not compare these dogs to a German Sheperd, a Labrador or other common breeds. You -and if You have, than Your family too- have to be an experienced owner. If You do a mistake wher raising up eg. a German Sheperd, nothing really serious happens. You can control and get Your dog in the right way easily. If You and one of Your family makes a mistake raising up a real sheperd dog, the result could be really serious! Not just You, the whole falmily need to be a high level about dogs, knows how to control them and so on. You need to have a big territory, a big free space, that is well surrounded strong fence. A fence that is good for a common breed is nothing to a big sheperd dog. I know somone that breeds Kangal dog in Hungary, he has several thousand m2 property. The Kangal is around the top of the sheperd dogs, I only recomend the top breeds (Causasian, Central Asian Ovcharka, Sharplaninac, Kangal, etc.) if You know exactly what is a good sheoerd dog is all about. How they behave, how to specially treat them and so on. I suggest You to learn, get experience about sheperd dogs, and only if You need that high level of protection, and if You know 100% what You are doing, just then try one! In my country, there is a lot of people who don't take that seriously, got some hard sheperd dog, and the result became a tragic to everyone. I think only 10% of dog owners could be a good owner of a real sheperd dog, and Kangal is a real top sheperd. Someone who is not familiar to sheperd dogs, can not imagine what phisical and mental power they have! They are dominant as hell, You have to handle that level of dominance. Real hard work, and only recomend a sheperd dog, if You really need that special thing that they can give You. If You choose one just because it looks good, please don't keep a sheperd dog!

But a large LSG dog is hard to train and I reside in the heart of Silicon Valley, not an ideal environment for a CO or a Kangal dog. I just can't help dreaming of having a Kangal, CO, Alabai, or a Tibetan Mastiff. Most likely, I won't have one. Anyway, thanks for your sincere but cruel advice.

I have a good connection to a guy, who breeds Kangal dogs. He has dogs straight from Turkey. He don't sell the puppies to anyone but that man, who in his opinion can handle a Kangal. He says I can have it. I have a good connection to a friend, ho breeds Caucasian Ovcharka. His dogs, and the puppies that are from him, they are proved their braveness in several real life situation. I can have a good Caucasian, if I want. I have an another connection to a man, who breeds Central Asian Ovcharka. His dogs are from Ukraine. They are really big, strong, brave and proven dogs. I have a connection to a man, who is also Hungarian as me, but he lives in our neighbour country, Romania. He has several dog packs, that works beside the sheep herd in the Carpathian Mountains, where wolf pack and bears can be found frequently. The wolf and the bears means every day threaths to sheep herds there. These dogs have to withstand the attacks of these powerful predators. Wolf in Transylvania (Romania) grew much higher and heavier than in Turkey. There can be easily foud wolfs that weights up to 80 kgs. If I want, I can have sheep dog from that real working herds. I have friends in out southern neighbouring country, Serbia. There can be found excellent Sharplaninac dogs, which is an awesome breed! Less people knows Sharplaninac, but they are very-very good dogs! Tough, brave, strong, alvays ready to fight with anyone.... .......but....... why am I in a same shoe like You? Although I have all this possibilities, but I have other ones in my family. I have a wife, who fears dogs this size and power. Soon we have our baby, and let's be honest, a sheep dog is not the best next to little children. I don't think I can't control a real sheperd dog, but just one mistake made by my wife.....just one mistake by our soon birth child is enough. We live in a place in Hungary where is safe, we don't need that high level of protection that a good sheperd dog can give us. My family can not match with a sharp weapon, like a real sheep dog. It's cruel for myself too, but I've seen a lot of stories happened with families, where just one man is good enough for the job, the other family members not. My thoughts are about the sheep dogs for long years, I have almost all the possibilities.....almost, but not all. In this game, You can not miss one! If one piece of a puzzle is missing, it's better to not take home a sheperd dog puppy. Cruel, but it is the reality for me too. My heart is for these type of dogs, most of the other breeds just a joke if I compare to these dogs, but they are not an easy tasks. So, I think I can fully understand You. But, if we talking about sheperd dogs, take a look out Hungarian sheperd dog breeds, Kuvasz and Komondor. They are good dogs as well! Less known than Kangal, Caucasian and Central Asian Ovcharka and so on..... but a Kuvasz and a Komondor is also a good breed. Here on TH-cam You can find lots of vids about them. And if You want to see real working aboriginal sheperd dogs, I strongly recomend You Latif La's channel. He is from Tadjikistan, and in his channel You can find a loads of vids about terrific dogs! I have a Caucasian Orchkava puppy my friend has its mother. They grow huge and the strength is unreal. Simply you do not want to see the aggressive side of this dog. Yet there character is very relaxed very loving loyal and protective
I have one as well he killed a fox at 4 months old and his first coyote at 5.5 months old . At one year old he killed 4 of them and he’s 18 months old now and weighs 205-210 lbs. Any male kangal would have his hands really full with him.
I have two staffies and we came across a Caucasian in the park!! He came over and both my dogs went on the offensive!! This dog didn't bat an eyelid!! Both my dogs snapping at him and he just stood there!!! I got my dogs and his owner got him!! Great dog in my opinion as he could have easily ate us all!!!
No siht, I have the same problem. My CO always gets attacked by everyone elses dogs, it’s made canine socialization impossible. He comes from working military lines, and I’ve worked hard to train him and keep him safe. I know for certain if he gets attacked once by another dog he will treat all dogs as threats. The only dog that didn’t try to attack him first was a well trained older rotty, which could be because she was a female and bigger than him because he was a very young puppy, or that she was very well trained. Either way, he works protection and guard duty for me and all it took is one bad experience for him to treat certain people as hostile. He has no patience for drug addicts, he smells it on them and becomes very aggressive towards them. The only reason he doesn’t attack them is because I’m in control, otherwise he would probably try to kill every high asshole he comes into contact with. The bad experience was I got attacked in front of him, it’s very impressive though that he is able to separate bad people from good people, he’s never been wrong I think it’s his nose, he doesn’t even need to see the person. It’s so annoying though, I’ve had most every dog snap at or try to attack him since he was 7 weeks old. Oh well, best doggo ever. It’s 100% true that they are dual personality, a giant fluff with family, and extremely suspicious and protective around strangers.
@Antonyo Mihai You should always check their pedigree, and if it’s good enough you can track their lineage; military co’s can trace their lineage through russian red star kennels; as for behavioral differences the military lines are less independent than the aboriginal lines because they were bred to follow orders and live in closer proximity to humans and handlers. Military CO is better for city living, aboriginal lines are better for large acreage, but the best co is the one you have! Good luck!
@Antonyo Mihai Depends on what you need, military is better suited for security and guard work, they’re more sociable and trainable, aboriginal is far more aggressive with strangers and can be bigger. Think of the military lines being bred for military work, so think about what that would mean behaviorally, whereas the aboriginal ones are bred to be fully independent and to treat anything and everyone not their flock or family as a threat, so that can be very dangerous, they also have higher exercise requirements. As for courage, loyalty, and intelligence they’re about the same, any well bred co will be the most intelligent dog you’ve ever owned, and you won’t have any problems with courage or loyalty, I’ve never seen one back down from a threat ever it’s not in their nature, which can be both a good and bad thing but once you get one you’ll know what I mean. Loyalty, as long as you know what you’re doing and train them, which is an absolute requirement their loyalty will never be in question. The intelligence thing, the military are more easily trainable and better around people, no less or more intelligent. The aboriginal are harder to train and more suspicious around people, because they are more independent. I would say you should probably get a military co, they’re easier to find and get, just make sure you know what you’re getting into. They are not a pet, they are a weapon. They will act like a weapon, so you need to spend their first year aggressively socializing them around people, bringing them to strange places, getting used to different smells, sounds, etc; and absolutely focus on basic and more advanced obedience training. If you want you can use a trainer, but just remember if you have someone else train your dog, they will obey the trainer over you, and the easiest way to train them is with mealtimes, always make them work for their food, and don’t just fill their food bowl 24/7. Edit: Also, don’t cheap out, make sure you find a good breeder and expect to pay well over $2,500 - $5,000 for a pup, I would be very suspicious of any pups claiming to be a co under $2,500; and make sure to check and get a copy of their pedigree.
It looks like the Kangal is an older male and probably has mated with the female CO. The young CO male is trying to get some like you said but the female at the end sides with the Kangal. To her the Kangal is part of her pack while the male CO is a newcomer. If the female CO didn't snip at the young CO at the end and instead approved of his advances then the Kangal would have to leave. He obviously has no intention to fight the bigger and stronger CO.
After training personnel protection for the last 30 years, the Kangels bite was a slight bit harder. Unless someone has done it over and over, you could never know. On any given day either dog can break bone. On regular dogs, you can use a bite sleeve, with dogs like big Rotties, Kangels and the Caucasian you need a barrel sleeve. It's a big plastic piece on the inside of the sleeve to take the bite force. You do not want to take bite when training either dog without real protection. When it comes down to bite force, it was the Kangel, Caucasian (but real close to each other) Rotties, Pit Bull German Shepherd and Dobermans. Any of these dogs can make you have a real bad day. When you actually take a bite from one of these dogs, you get a new level of respect for them. They are all beautiful dogs.

Ive owned big dogs, and I can clearly see the Ovcharka is not impressed. My big dogs always behaved like this around small aggressive dogs. They are wise and don't need to prove they are stronger.

Have any of you guys bred dogs this isn't like in nature where they Court each other by showing colors and build nests and things like that if she was in heat they would have been fighting over it unless a true alpha dog has established itself, only usually after dominance and fighting with the other males. The Kangal wanted to play. The one other dog on the ground didn't want to at all and the one standing wasn't in the mood either. That's all that was. Tails up = play and they are happy. Kangal's tail was up the entire time.
I own an ovcharka and I see exactly the same behavior with mine, when another dog that he doesn't see as a threat barks or is aggressive towards at him...back off a bit, pee somewhere and walk straight passed the other dog or stand in front of him... the ovcharka didn't see a threat here, which is normal since he is a male and the kangal is a female... if the female would have attacked, the male would have shredded it to pieces... -edit- the peeing is a sign of dominance, no dog will ever accept a dog to pee in front of it if it really was looking for an altercation, the fact the kangal didn't attack after the male CO peed, is a clear sign the female kangal knew the male CO was more powerful... so in a weird way, yeah you did bring proof, that a male CO isn't scared of a female kangal, and a female kangal won't attack a male CO even if it marks the territory as his (something which proves he is higher ranked then the female kangal), since no way the higher ranked dog will accept someone peeing on their territory...
There are plenty of American Pitbull owners that swear that a 50lb-80lb A.P.B.T. can not only beat them both can also kill them..... On a one on one confrontation. Because they say that they lack stamina and endurance like their dogs. But I personally believe that these two breeds will decimate A.P.B.T. because of their powerful P.S.I. bite..... A pitbull can only take up to so much, if he can't breathe he will cease to exist...... Every living creature needs air to breathe
Apbt fans are sometimes a bit delusional... Even putting aside the PSI and bite force etc, just the difference in mass and power is abysmal. Not to mention that both of these breeds have a huge drive as well, they were made to guard and fight predators way bigger than dogs.
That kangal is dominant, if you see the posture of the tail of the caucasian and his calm you can notice that he is an alpha. The alpha only attacks when it's a real menace and are so powerful. Sorry for my english

As a person unfamiliar with both breeds, it would appear the Caucasian Ovcharkas are much nicer dogs with more even temperaments. Although I have little knowledge of both breeds, I've seen 2 Caucasian Ovcharkas fight and I'm guessing they'd sort that Kangal out with ease. The Kangal wouldn't be able to hurt them. I've seen a Caucasian Ovcharka kill an APBT with ease.
Ovcharcas always remain calm when other dogs threaten them. But when it’s time to fight ovcharca always submit the aggressor. They are strong and can wrestle any dog breed down, easy.

Basically they are just both variations on the same type/breed. And the CAO is in between them. Kangals are more animal aggressive (dogs, predators) where Caucasians were selected to be more man aggressive.
Not even remotely the kangal is a mutch older breed and they come from two drastically different geographical locations and the part of Russia were the caucasian ovcharka comes from the kangal wouldn't be able to survive

And the one is created by USSR using Leonberger Newfoundland st bernard and other breeds to create own breed. The original Caucasian shepherd dog breeds are way stronger than caucasian shepherd.
Hi thanks for the thumbs up!! Sadly today while walking my pup Staffie girl we was attacked by an American bull dog amstaff Cross!! The dog was 14 months old and looked like daddy from the dog whisperer!! It went thru me and straight for my dog!! We both got bitten but are OK!!! I must admit that that was the most scared I've ever been seeing this monster standing over us!!
I understand that the Kangal is your favourite dog breed and it really is a wonderful livestock guardian. But you need to understand that the caucasian shepherd is probably the second largest dog breed in existence (after the english mastiff) and is in fact much larger than the kangal. Also the fur on most male specimens forms a lion's mane around it's neck (like the tibetian mastiff) making it even harder for opponents to choke them to death. That and the sheer size of the breed gives it the upperhand against most other dogs. That doesnt mean that the caucasian is the better shepherd dog tho, as they are regarded as the most viscious breed, making work impossible in many cases :(
Farivar S Could be....wont surprise me if the biteforce numbers are overexaggerated tho, because they are probably meassured in Turkey and they tend to do that when it comes to the Kangal. A funny example of this, which I remember with joy was a ''Kangal strongest dog in world'' video, in which a kangal was pulling a tractor.....only the tractor's engine was running and there was person in it, switching the gears....
i've watched Ovcharka fights with kangal, and many of them the kangal wins. The Ovcharka bit force isn't even the top 10 psi, while kangal is at the top with 730-743 psi which is crazy while Ovcharka is only 550-600 ish
I doubt that bite force would matter at all when the other dog's fur coat prevents it from even getting to the skin. And Im 100% sure that the caucasian is in top 10 bite force dogs (if it has 600ps but you said that not me). Even if the kangal does have a more powerful bite (which I suppose it has)...so what? There are swamp turtles that have a biteforce twice that of a great white shark, but that does not mean the turtle would start eating sharks!? And finally this is TH-cam if you've seen a lot of kangals eating up causcasians, next time film it and upload it.
Proof i get is that these dogs can actually live together , meet some other dogs , dominate a little with occasionally a little fight and be happy ever since . No problem. Just some big shephard mountain dogs together having fun 👍🏽👍🏽

A Kangal is a dog of the Anatolian region, though the name Anatolian Shepherd may also be used while referring to a breed with multiple cross breeds of the Anatolian region. It is common to see mix breeds such as Malakai, Boz Shepherd, Kangal, Mastiff, Akbash, Sarplaninac, Ovcharka etc etc etc.

I am a dog trainer, and from the body language the standing Caucasian Ovcharka (a male) didn't even take the Kangal serious, he was only interested in the other Caucasian Ovcharka (most likely a female) who then put the male Caucasian Ovcharka in his place....
This video shows very little. And what it does show is more like 1 kangal and 1 caucasian ovcharka vs 1 caucasian ovcharka. Not a very good title, very misleading. If anything the other ovcharka actually bit at the other ovcharka to make it back off, the kengal didn't even do that.

Well I'm assuming your trying just say that the kangal is better but the Caucasian mountain shepherd is known and statistically proven to be the best guard dog in the world and is the stronger dog breed.
Alhamdulillah Müslümanim Its very general view. and depends on specific dogs not on whole breed. Not every Caucasian can beat Kangal and not every Cangal can beat Caucasian. Depends on dog itself, its blood, its education, its training. And Caucasians, Kangals and Alabais are strongest dogs on the planet, no doubt. But i can guarantee there is lots of pro Pit Bulls that can beat this 3. So depends on specific dog not on whole breed.

I suggest You to learn, get experience about sheperd dogs, and only if You need that high level of protection, and if You know 100% what You are doing, just then try one! In my country, there is a lot of people who don't take that seriously, got some hard sheperd dog, and the result became a tragic to everyone. I think only 10% of dog owners could be a good owner of a real sheperd dog, and Kangal is a real top sheperd. Someone who is not familiar to sheperd dogs, can not imagine what phisical and mental power they have! They are dominant as hell, You have to handle that level of dominance. Real hard work, and only recomend a sheperd dog, if You really need that special thing that they can give You. If You choose one just because it looks good, please don't keep a sheperd dog!

You are right. Even though I have a dog before and I do know something about dogs. But a large LSG dog is hard to train and I reside in the heart of Silicon Valley, not an ideal environment for a CO or a Kangal dog. I can have a good Caucasian, if I want. I have an another connection to a man, who breeds Central Asian Ovcharka. His dogs are from Ukraine. They are really big, strong, brave and proven dogs. I have a connection to a man, who is also Hungarian as me, but he lives in our neighbour country, Romania. He has several dog packs, that works beside the sheep herd in the Carpathian Mountains, where wolf pack and bears can be found frequently. The wolf and the bears means every day threaths to sheep herds there. These dogs have to withstand the attacks of these powerful predators. Wolf in Transylvania (Romania) grew much higher and heavier than in Turkey. There can be easily foud wolfs that weights up to 80 kgs. If I want, I can have sheep dog from that real working herds. I have friends in out southern neighbouring country, Serbia. There can be found excellent Sharplaninac dogs, which is an awesome breed! Less people knows Sharplaninac, but they are very-very good dogs! Tough, brave, strong, alvays ready to fight with anyone.... .......but....... why am I in a same shoe like You? Although I have all this possibilities, but I have other ones in my family. I have a wife, who fears dogs this size and power. Soon we have our baby, and let's be honest, a sheep dog is not the best next to little children. I don't think I can't control a real sheperd dog, but just one mistake made by my wife.....just one mistake by our soon birth child is enough. We live in a place in Hungary where is safe, we don't need that high level of protection that a good sheperd dog can give us. My family can not match with a sharp weapon, like a real sheep dog. It's cruel for myself too, but I've seen a lot of stories happened with families, where just one man is good enough for the job, the other family members not. My thoughts are about the sheep dogs for long years, I have almost all the possibilities.....almost, but not all. In this game, You can not miss one! If one piece of a puzzle is missing, it's better to not take home a sheperd dog puppy. Cruel, but it is the reality for me too. My heart is for these type of dogs, most of the other breeds just a joke if I compare to these dogs, but they are not an easy tasks. So, I think I can fully understand You. But, if we talking about sheperd dogs, take a look out Hungarian sheperd dog breeds, Kuvasz and Komondor. They are good dogs as well! Less known than Kangal, Caucasian and Central Asian Ovcharka and so on..... but a Kuvasz and a Komondor is also a good breed. Here on TH-cam You can find lots of vids about them. And if You want to see real working aboriginal sheperd dogs, I strongly recomend You Latif La's channel. He is from Tadjikistan, and in his channel You can find a loads of vids about terrific dogs! I have a Caucasian Orchkava puppy my friend has its mother. They grow huge and the strength is unreal. Simply you do not want to see the aggressive side of this dog. Yet there character is very relaxed very loving loyal and protective
I have one as well he killed a fox at 4 months old and his first coyote at 5.5 months old . At one year old he killed 4 of them and he’s 18 months old now and weighs 205-210 lbs. Any male kangal would have his hands really full with him.

I have two staffies and we came across a Caucasian in the park!! He came over and both my dogs went on the offensive!! This dog didn't bat an eyelid!! Both my dogs snapping at him and he just stood there!!! I got my dogs and his owner got him!! Great dog in my opinion as he could have easily ate us all!!!
No siht, I have the same problem. My CO always gets attacked by everyone elses dogs, it’s made canine socialization impossible.
He comes from working military lines, and I’ve worked hard to train him and keep him safe. I know for certain if he gets attacked once by another dog he will treat all dogs as threats.
The only dog that didn’t try to attack him first was a well trained older rotty, which could be because she was a female and bigger than him because he was a very young puppy, or that she was very well trained.
Either way, he works protection and guard duty for me and all it took is one bad experience for him to treat certain people as hostile. He has no patience for drug addicts, he smells it on them and becomes very aggressive towards them. The only reason he doesn’t attack them is because I’m in control, otherwise he would probably try to kill every high asshole he comes into contact with.
The bad experience was I got attacked in front of him, it’s very impressive though that he is able to separate bad people from good people, he’s never been wrong I think it’s his nose, he doesn’t even need to see the person.
It’s so annoying though, I’ve had most every dog snap at or try to attack him since he was 7 weeks old.
Oh well, best doggo ever.

@Antonyo Mihai You should always check their pedigree, and if it’s good enough you can track their lineage; military co’s can trace their lineage through russian red star kennels; as for behavioral differences the military lines are less independent than the aboriginal lines because they were bred to follow orders and live in closer proximity to humans and handlers.
Military CO is better for city living, aboriginal lines are better for large acreage, but the best co is the one you have! Good luck!

@Antonyo Mihai Depends on what you need, military is better suited for security and guard work, they’re more sociable and trainable, aboriginal is far more aggressive with strangers and can be bigger.
Think of the military lines being bred for military work, so think about what that would mean behaviorally, whereas the aboriginal ones are bred to be fully independent and to treat anything and everyone not their flock or family as a threat, so that can be very dangerous, they also have higher exercise requirements.
As for courage, loyalty, and intelligence they’re about the same, any well bred co will be the most intelligent dog you’ve ever owned, and you won’t have any problems with courage or loyalty, I’ve never seen one back down from a threat ever it’s not in their nature, which can be both a good and bad thing but once you get one you’ll know what I mean.
Loyalty, as long as you know what you’re doing and train them, which is an absolute requirement their loyalty will never be in question.
The intelligence thing, the military are more easily trainable and better around people, no less or more intelligent.
The aboriginal are harder to train and more suspicious around people, because they are more independent.
I would say you should probably get a military co, they’re easier to find and get, just make sure you know what you’re getting into.
They are not a pet, they are a weapon. They will act like a weapon, so you need to spend their first year aggressively socializing them around people, bringing them to strange places, getting used to different smells, sounds, etc; and absolutely focus on basic and more advanced obedience training.
If you want you can use a trainer, but just remember if you have someone else train your dog, they will obey the trainer over you, and the easiest way to train them is with mealtimes, always make them work for their food, and don’t just fill their food bowl 24/7.
Edit: Also, don’t cheap out, make sure you find a good breeder and expect to pay well over $2,500 - $5,000 for a pup, I would be very suspicious of any pups claiming to be a co under $2,500; and make sure to check and get a copy of their pedigree.

It looks like the Kangal is an older male and probably has mated with the female CO. The young CO male is trying to get some like you said but the female at the end sides with the Kangal. To her the Kangal is part of her pack while the male CO is a newcomer. If the female CO didn't snip at the young CO at the end and instead approved of his advances then the Kangal would have to leave. He obviously has no intention to fight the bigger and stronger CO.

After training personnel protection for the last 30 years, the Kangels bite was a slight bit harder. Unless someone has done it over and over, you could never know. On any given day either dog can break bone. On regular dogs, you can use a bite sleeve, with dogs like big Rotties, Kangels and the Caucasian you need a barrel sleeve. It's a big plastic piece on the inside of the sleeve to take the bite force. You do not want to take bite when training either dog without real protection. When it comes down to bite force, it was the Kangel, Caucasian (but real close to each other) Rotties, Pit Bull German Shepherd and Dobermans. Any of these dogs can make you have a real bad day. When you actually take a bite from one of these dogs, you get a new level of respect for them. They are all beautiful dogs.

I own an ovcharka and I see exactly the same behavior with mine, when another dog that he doesn't see as a threat barks or is aggressive towards at him...back off a bit, pee somewhere and walk straight passed the other dog or stand in front of him... the ovcharka didn't see a threat here, which is normal since he is a male and the kangal is a female... if the female would have attacked, the male would have shredded it to pieces... -edit- the peeing is a sign of dominance, no dog will ever accept a dog to pee in front of it if it really was looking for an altercation, the fact the kangal didn't attack after the male CO peed, is a clear sign the female kangal knew the male CO was more powerful... so in a weird way, yeah you did bring proof, that a male CO isn't scared of a female kangal, and a female kangal won't attack a male CO even if it marks the territory as his (something which proves he is higher ranked then the female kangal), since no way the higher ranked dog will accept someone peeing on their territory...

Basically they are just both variations on the same type/breed. And the CAO is in between them. Kangals are more animal aggressive (dogs, predators) where Caucasians were selected to be more man aggressive.
Not even remotely the kangal is a mutch older breed and they come from two drastically different geographical locations and the part of Russia were the caucasian ovcharka comes from the kangal wouldn't be able to survive

Hi thanks for the thumbs up!! Sadly today while walking my pup Staffie girl we was attacked by an American bull dog amstaff Cross!! The dog was 14 months old and looked like daddy from the dog whisperer!! It went thru me and straight for my dog!! We both got bitten but are OK!!! I understand that the Kangal is your favourite dog breed and it really is a wonderful livestock guardian. But you need to understand that the caucasian shepherd is probably the second largest dog breed in existence (after the english mastiff) and is in fact much larger than the kangal. Also the fur on most male specimens forms a lion's mane around it's neck (like the tibetian mastiff) making it even harder for opponents to choke them to death. That and the sheer size of the breed gives it the upperhand against most other dogs. That doesnt mean that the caucasian is the better shepherd dog tho, as they are regarded as the most viscious breed, making work impossible in many cases :(

Farivar S Could be....wont surprise me if the biteforce numbers are overexaggerated tho, because they are probably meassured in Turkey and they tend to do that when it comes to the Kangal. A funny example of this, which I remember with joy was a ''Kangal strongest dog in world'' video, in which a kangal was pulling a tractor.....only the tractor's engine was running and there was person in it, switching the gears....
i've watched Ovcharka fights with kangal, and many of them the kangal wins. The Ovcharka bit force isn't even the top 10 psi, while kangal is at the top with 730-743 psi which is crazy while Ovcharka is only 550-600 ish
I doubt that bite force would matter at all when the other dog's fur coat prevents it from even getting to the skin. And Im 100% sure that the caucasian is in top 10 bite force dogs (if it has 600ps but you said that not me). Even if the kangal does have a more powerful bite (which I suppose it has)...so what? There are swamp turtles that have a biteforce twice that of a great white shark, but that does not mean the turtle would start eating sharks!? And finally this is TH-cam if you've seen a lot of kangals eating up causcasians, next time film it and upload it.

It is common to see mix breeds such as Malakai, Boz Shepherd, Kangal, Mastiff, Akbash, Sarplaninac, Ovcharka etc etc etc.

I am a dog trainer, and from the body language the standing Caucasian Ovcharka (a male) didn't even take the Kangal serious, he was only interested in the other Caucasian Ovcharka (most likely a female) who then put the male Caucasian Ovcharka in his place....

This video shows very little. And what it does show is more like 1 kangal and 1 caucasian ovcharka vs 1 caucasian ovcharka. Not a very good title, very misleading. If anything the other ovcharka actually bit at the other ovcharka to make it back off, the kengal didn't even do that.

Well I'm assuming your trying just say that the kangal is better but the Caucasian mountain shepherd is known and statistically proven to be the best guard dog in the world and is the stronger dog breed.
Throw in there Alabai as well (Central Asian Shepherd), and try to figure out which one is the best lol. It's really in the eye of the beholder.

Not every Caucasian can beat Kangal and not every Cangal can beat Caucasian. Depends on dog itself, its blood, its education, its training.
And Caucasians, Kangals and Alabais are strongest dogs on the planet, no doubt. But i can guarantee there is lots of pro Pit Bulls that can beat this 3. So depends on specific dog not on whole breed.
