I LOVE these Mobapad joy con so much, after years of trying other joy cons and grips and swapping all the time, now I don't want to use anything else. Beyond the fact they have every single feature that OEM joy con do (HD rumble & NFC are the big ones for me), they dock just fine, they feel amazing.... there's just no reason for me to ever take em off now. I'm so glad you told us about these and to see that they still reign supreme as #1 premium joy con! :D
Just for some context, anybody that has tried third party joycons like binbok doyoky nyxi or any of them, the Mobapad is on its own level. They feel premium enough to be offical licensed controllers. They are what the hori should be, Nintendo should take notice of this company and give hori the boot and make the Mobapad officially licensed
I could tell right at the start of the video that the COIORVIS one looks cheaper. I bought the Mobapad M6 HD based on your recommendation and I've been very happy with it. It's the comfortable Joy-Con alternative I always wanted from Nintendo but never got. And it's actually more than that when you consider that any Nintendo offering would've had membrane buttons. The only small downside I've encountered with the Mobapad M6 HD is that it's so chonky that my Switch won't dock with it attached if anything is plugged into the Switch dock's top USB port.
I bought the (cheaper version) Coiovis Joy Pad at about USD18 with center piece grip attachment for USD6. To it's price point I am satisfied with my purchase. It's like a switch pro shaped controller being cut in the middle. The grip was not the most comfortable in hand held mode (but anything is better than joycon), but it felt nice when I have them with the center piece. Rumble is bad, but the joysticks and buttons are fine. It also has turbo buttons and Bluetooth, extra face plates are just for cosmetic though. Would definitely use it as my travelling controller (they have their own travelling case) instead of bringing joycons/an extra pro controller.
What both of these are missing is an insert that allows you to use them as a pro controller. Really simple and cheap piece of plastic that could have been included but they didn't. That's why I went with the nexigo instead.
You can take you joycon grip wings/grip off. Or order/buy a chatgi g grip and take it off that. Then you can charge as well. That's actually what I did. But I do agree they should have one for sure. For now just use your joycon grip or order/buy one at the store.

The yellowing of the sticks are a bummer on the mobapads. I wish I knew about the coiorvis before I got my mobapads, the thinner design would've been better for me since I'm a long time joycon handheld player.
IMO the Coio loses immediately based on placement of its extra programmable button. The whole point of those extra buttons is to enable you to use extra fingers that would otherwise just be sitting on the back doing nothing. Putting that button by the L/R triggers is pointless.
The Mobapad feels incredible. Not sure why they didn’t include a center piece, it’s too tight to fit the ones I have from other third parties, although I did get it on the doyoky center strip from their GameCube variant.
