You should know this, but peacock bass have a very small strike zone. So you mostly sight fish for them. You practically have to hit them in the head or hit their nest to get a strike.

If you get any big peacock bass in the future, you dont want to keep in your pond, - eat them! Most tasty fish i´ve had, while living in the Amazon. Out there, they bake them, in ovens dug in sand at the beaches. The meat becomes like butter.
