Speaking as a trusted rank user myself: From my personal experience, known and trusted users are a mixed bag. Some are the coolest people you can meet on the game, while others are snobby and elitist. Probably the same case with all other ranks, but you notice it the most when it comes to known and trusted users. I don't put that much stalk in rank though, I just play to hang with friends and have fun! My advice to new players: don't get too caught up in rank. Outside of the ability to upload avatars, and/or worlds it's basically meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Just connect with fun people and enjoy your time on the game. Making memories with good friends is what it's really all about! And anyone who judges you for being a lower rank, instead of actually getting to know you as a person probably isn't worth your time anyway

I had been stuck at known user for an absolute age (even with the bump for being paid vrc+) - then i learned how to use unity to upload avatars and bam, uploaded a single avatar and got trusted. They put a huge weight on the ability to upload.
Thank you my smol friend. I just checked why I never got an upgrade and found out my parents set me up on occulus meta years ago. Immediatly switched it to a Vrchat acc and are now climbing the virtual ranks. Also noticed the difference in how people talk to me, and I agree with everything this video says.
By the way, had vrc+ gifted with an avatar uploaded and got instant rank up from Known to Trusted, however I knew someone who was still Known for several months even though they've been playing for a few years. You actually do rank up on Steam / Oculus accounts. However, for some reason, the game skips the New User rank -- instead, you go straight from Visitor to User. This effectively means that you stay at Visitor rank for much longer, but the point still stands that this video presents incorrect information. It's definitely better to have a VRChat account, of course.

That was not the case for me, it took me 12 hours to get from Visitor to New User, then it took me 160 hours to get from New User to User... The ranking system in this game is really weird.
i got known in 80 hours, its all about who you friend and their rank, how much time you spend with them, how many worlds you visit, is it a popular world, if you upload an avatar or world (not needed, when i got known i had nothing uploaded) just experiment with the game, have fun, make friends. you do that and youll rank up like its nothing
For the people coming here by chance and asking themselves, why the heck it takes reaching USER-Rank this long ... it is because of VRC having changed their conditions once again. I had over 27 friends, over 70 hours of game time and was still stuck at NEW USER-Rank. I just uploaded one avatar and got greeted with a "Your new user rank" notification, officially known as "You can now report Worlds!". You HAVE to upload stuff if you even consider to rank up to USER-Rank nowadays. That's is quite inconvenient, especially for people which are not willing to spend money (yet) and are having dozens of problems with mesh bugs, texture disalignments, mesh correlation and whatnot, what Unity Engine will cry about. Out of about 150 free avatars, I was able to upload only just 2 bloody ones.

I was able to upload a avatar years ago, practically when I made my account, so I assume that the story has changed years later, as if not, anyone would be able to flood the game with avatars. I feel world making would be challenging, but a lot of fun. and I've got a few avatar ideas I want to make uwu so I should probably work on getting hours in uwu
I know about avatars but i have to do a check-up but i thought you needed user rank to upload worlds. If your right i will add this to my 2024 rank guide video ^w^
@@LemonCupcakeVRInfinity I'm still in the New User Rank and the VRC SDK plugin says to me: "Allowed to publish avatars" and "Allowed to publish worlds" This makes the user ranks above new users a little bit irrelevant in relation to uploading avatars and worlds😅 On the other hand, it's also good that you get the opportunity to create worlds and not just avatars quite early on
You can use chat box feature to communicate with other people. Or if you are on VR and have OVR Toolkit, there is a built in voice to text feature you can use to display what you say in chat box but don't speak in VRChat itself
I've already seen someone being trusted with an oculus account 💀 i don't wanna know how much hour this person played but that's the only time I've seen someone in this situation

I got all the way to known user before I went to a VRC account, and I only went to a VRC account on accident because I wanted to make a club and I couldn’t without going to the app/website. Oh, and I only use quest 2. For me it’s just far too expensive to get out of quest two and go to PCVR.

i played for 9 months i got 600 hours im trusted and i got a few worlds one is approved i got a friend he has around 1.3k hours and is still known user but no worlds uploaded

For the Visitor to New User rank i got it from Tupper of VRChat, steam and oculus accounts capping at visitor from the VRChat website, and the rest is my long research since 2020 with a lot of VRC players giving me the information! I didn’t want to make avatars and just make them sit around in a blender file and do nothing with them, so I will put them to good use. Who knew that Vrchat would be such a great learning tool! Anyways I friended myself and got new user immediately so thanks for that! You have no idea how much searching I’ve been doing

VRChat doesn’t have straight up numbers for ranking up. Other then getting New User rank, i suggest you just keep playing and having fun! User Rank is close ^w^

The whole performance/shield thing is somewhat problematic as well. I can understand hiding visitors because of the threat of crashing, but I've seen just as many trusted users crash Questies because they were "annoying", and all of the trusted users are the ones telling new players only to show trusted. It's one of those things that is just as bad as it is good, therefore balances it out making it pointless. Just my opinion.

Being a visitor i already was searching for different avatars. there are annoying little children who obviously are against the ToS and are trusted users.. I don't think you are being accurate at all. if anyone new comes across this video would not get the truth.
Most visitors are not like you, we try to 'fish' out the people like you and hang out with but many and i mean many are ether toxic people or children. Also yes trusted users are also toxic but not as badly ^^ Thanks for watching! :D

The person in question for the Known that did not rank up didn't upload anything and had either a quarterly or yearly subscription

Being a visitor i already was searching for different avatars.
there are annoying little children who obviously are against the ToS and are trusted users..
I don't think you are being accurate at all. if anyone new comes across this video would not get the truth.
Most visitors are not like you, we try to 'fish' out the people like you and hang out with but many and i mean many are ether toxic people or children.
Also yes trusted users are also toxic but not as badly ^^
