This is a very fruitful conversation. I also can relate with the fact that it really makes you read slowly

Knowing the original Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic languages of the scriptures helps one to Study and to dig deeper than the surface of the page. Being a student of these languages will enable one to see much more clearly the truth that is being conveyed in each scriptural teaching. Take the truth of Romans 10:9 for instance. The scripture reads thusly: That if you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. The vast majority of those calling themselves Christian have simply prayed a prayer out of emotion asking Jesus to come into them and take away their sin. They then just go back to living in sin as they always have checking a box of salvation saying I did that. This word confess is very key! In the original Greek text it is the word: Homologeõ- meaning "Same Word " This means this verse is telling the listener, one must fully agree with God and His "Same Word" He says of Jesus and commit their life and living to that truth! This is a covenant with God not a prayer, a proclamation or even a personal testimony. This requires repentance ( Luke 13:3&5 ) And confession- Covenant with God Himself, then belief that God has raised Jesus from death! Many other important scriptural truths are subject to this same rule. John 3:22- " spending time with" - The Greek- Diatribo- ( to rub into thouroughly ), Psalm 46:10- Be still and know that I am God. The Hebrew- râphâh - " Cease Striving", John 21:30 - " It is finished" - Greek & Aramaic word Tetelestai - meaning " Paid In Full ". Then perhaps most importantly: " make disciples of all nations " ( Matthew 28:18-20 ) - The Greek - ( matheteusate ta ethne ) - meaning " multiply into all ethnicities " KJV only says teach all nations. Making Disciples was Jesus Christ's demonstrated method to multiply the workforce to reach all peoples. Carried out, obediently by that first century church ( Greek word ekklesia ) meaning " Called Out Ones ", they took the gospel to the whole known world of their day inside of 70 years from the Day of Pentecost. Recorded in history and the book of Acts for all to see.
Fast forward to our day..... and there are existing on this planet today some 5 Billion souls who have never ever heard even one redemptive word of Christ Jesus. ( The Gospel ) For modern day institutional, organized, traditional, religion has made " Go " the command of the Great Commission text. Go is not now, nor has it ever been a command of the text. In the original Greek it is a participle phrase that supports the only Command of the verse. " make disciples of all nations ". Go would best be translated " as you are going " or " since you are going ". After all why would Jesus command us to do something we do naturally each day of our lives. We all arise each morning and prepare for our day and we go: to work, to School, to eat, to shop, to get gas, to church, etc., etc.. We are a constantly going people. Yet what we don't do is make disciples as we go.
Then we have gone. We have established churches and built buildings in every sovereign country on this planet who have allowed it. ( Never commanded us) We have missionaries in those same countries..... then even in those countries that do not allow the prostelization of the gospel we have missionaries. So we have gone but there still remains 5 Billion people who have never heard the gospel message. So go is not getting it done. For Christ Himself made this prophecy: " This gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a witness to all the nations and then the end will come. " Matthew 24:14. The comnand is still " make disciples of all nations " - ( matheteusate ta ethne ) and Jesus Himself said : " If you love Me you will obey My commandments. " John 14:15.... Well..... Do We?
