Hello guys how are you?
A lot of guys asked me how i did my sails on my Revell 1:225 HMS Victory full build video, and i thought i should make a small "How to" or Tutorial.

I'm a new subscriber after watching your superb build of the Revell 'Vasa'. I built the Airfix version years ago which was before washes and airbrushes etc became popular so the entire thing was brushpainted. It didn't come out too badly but I now know that many of the colours were totally inaccurate. I've had the Revell one awaiting my attention for about a year so your video was very informative - many thanks. I have two models as work in progress to finish (the Russian protected cruiser 'Varyag' and the rare Airfix 1:48 scale TSR 2) and once they are finished I will be doing the Vasa once again with your video guidance. Thanks again for sharing your skills.

Hi Alex, incredible again. Watched the Victory build a few times and bravo again for that, but this is the first viewing of you making sails. I now have the same Victory kit plus the Revell Mayflower and they will have cloth sails. Thank you sir.

Coffee is also effective for Tinting the sails for gradient stains.
great job Alex. I'm basically into Armor but I watched your vid on the Victory and am planning on giving Sailing ships a shot. Should be very interesting on doing some nice salt and sea weathering !!

Alex!! My brother, how are you? Great tutorial. Here's one for you.. What would you recommend for cleaning dirty, dusty models?
If its only dust i would just air brushed it! Have to carefull with novinha parts but thats what i would do. And on flat free of detail surfaces a new flat brush! Cheers brother!😁😀

What kind of cloth is it
Is it just bedsheets cloth?
Yes it is. These were a bit too thick but with try and error i leaened to use thinner ones. 🙂👍

I use BARTSHARP airbrushes! On my recent vidros you can follow the links and find it as well as compressors and all hardware
Nice jobb. I was wondering about the scale of this modell you are building. I´m building HMS victori in skale 1:75 and I want to make the sails, but kant find any drawing or dimensjons for them. nice work, Do you have dimensjons for the sails you made?

Alex, where did you get vacform from? Is it included in the build kit?
Yes ! Vac form sails are included. I used however the ones i made with cloth
