I’ve never commented on anybody’s TH-cam video before after watching TH-cam for probably 4 years. But I have to say you made me emotional when you explain you haven’t felt great at the end. You need to remember what you have done for people so far and that’s not an added pressure it’s more so a you don’t owe anyone anything. You have inspired me to take on the Dublin Marathon this weekend which is huge given I hadn’t ran more than 5k up to 9 months ago. I could go on for hours at how impressive and inspirational you are but I won’t. Mind your mind and thank you.
Thanks for the honesty bro, really provides perspective. Sometimes even when we're doing everything we think we should be doing, sometimes it still just doesn't hit right.
Keep up the good work, Fergus. Between videos, podcasts and the Strength + Marathon program, you helped me to keep showing up and hit a PB marathon in Chicago last week. Appreciate all that you do! Also, some Omnia Performance merch would be great.
Fantastic to hear well done! Merch is moving, but has become a very slow and frustrating process finding reliable/cost-effective suppliers that allow us to deliver internationally without charging £25 to do so 🥲 (we’re getting there! Appreciate the patience!)
Keep going bud, found your channel a couple of weeks ago and have back watched all your vids. Don’t feel like you have to keep showing up. Recalibrate, keep well. You’ve certainly inspired me, rediscovered a love for running that I lost during an injury and watching your videos has driven me to keep training toward my goals. Keep well brother
After hearing you express yourself at the end I'm sorry I waited 6 days to watch this! You inspire your viewers and I ran my first 100 miler this year - just last month! I love to lift and run endurance events. You show us it can be done. Take care of yourself!
Great Texas day of training, it looks like you have both found your place in the Sun. Thanks for sharing your thoughts 🙏I can see a future Omnia Performance Inc, US branch ? 💯
Great video mate! I went to the gym directly after the pool this morning for lower and it was grim, no strength whatsoever. No idea how you do it! Suspect fueling
@@ferguscrawley95 I’m doing strength training and I’m a runner. When I’m doing my strength training I’m wondering what would be the best sets and reps for lower body training. What Would you recommend for the sets and reps for lower body strength training to accomplish the running?
Hi Fergus , I think your hip maybe hip calcification osteoarthritis. I was plagued for years until I found the true problem . Ultimately I had an ultrasound guided arthroscopy to get rid of the calcium that built up in my hip joint . Hope this helps if your still struggling with it 👍🏼
Thanks for the video. Do you prefer to do leg day and running for a double day? I was thinking an upper day combined with running would be more logical. Very curious about what you think.
Thank you for being honest and open there in the end. It feels supremely stupid to suggest you take care of your mental health since obviously that is what you're doing but I still would like to say just that. Please remember that the vast majority of us who have been following you for a while are here because we want to see you grow, prosper, evolve, succeed and if the price for that is less frequent or less beefy uploads we are more than willing to take that if it means you are able to get your mind back on track. Also, ngl, you mentioning your insufficient adaption to the Texas heat immediately made me think of the Lazar Dukic tragedy. If you feel like elaborating, I'd love to learn more about how to best try and adapt to working out in such climate, especially since realistically we are bound to get more unpleasantly hot summers here in Europe as well.
Appreciate it massively thank you! And heat wise, it’s somewhat tongue and cheek just with it being such a disparity, but I for sure wouldn’t do any outdoor training in the sun over the summer here - just too big a discrepancy to what I’m used to!
Creatine, whey protein, greens, omega-3s, electrolytes, vitamin D over the winter, currently playing around with some sleep supplementation, and then carb/endurance fuel for intra-workout. Plus protein bars etc, but those don’t really count IMO!
Not appealing to me as it stands I’m afraid, that might change, but just doesn’t get me excited and that’s what dictates all of my training decisions (even though it would be sensible commercially speaking 🤷♂️)
Why'd you say "creamer" like that? Is that what we sound like? You ever coming to Dallas? Not sure why you would. We have some good marathons up here and a pretty killer Olympic distance triathlon in May called the "Texas Man"
Haha I’m fairly non-stop, that will likely never change - the crux of the issue in many ways is poor delegation/spending too much time doing things that get in the way of things I’m good at/enjoy most - appreciate the support! Thank you 🤝
@@ferguscrawley95 I am also busy all the time. I think what’s helped me is being busy doing non work related things (change is as good as a rest) I also recommend scheduling time that isn’t scheduled, sounds stupid I know! Schedules are quite depressing in nature so you need a break from the endless to do list. I hope you find the balance as you are very inspiring but you can’t continue to do that if you don’t look after yourself!

Welcome to Texas. Enjoy the sunshine and freedom!
I have done!
All out mile 👍
I'm always happy when I see that you have uploaded a new video. Keep it on 👌
👀 video coming soon (became too logistically challenging for long form though so will just be a short)

I do not miss the Texas heat. 😂
hope things get better for you. Remember the most important thing is to enjoy your training.
Thank you 🤝

Can’t believe I missed Fergus in Texas!!
great work! been living here for 7 years (from ireland), lifestyle hard to beat. If you think it's hot in October, wait until you feel August 😂
Finally an hybrid athlete that lift heavy 🥵 thanks ! 🙏

We call our summer training “Poor Man’s Altitude” training 😂 the heat and humidity is brutal but it pays off for the fall and winter
What a transition!
Thanks for the inspiration Fergus
Thanks for watching 🤝
Austin is a Vibe for sure
Confirmed.
Gonna get you those 2K likes! Come to Atlanta!
Haha tell your friends etc!
I am pretty sure I saw you running through Musselburgh past the racecourse a few weeks ago (maybe more). Nice video!
Haha more than likely, a regular route for me!
Quality man! you got an ND filter on the Pocket?
Would be cool to see you try Hyrox 💪
"intense heat" - Late October in Texas
Ever done a swimrun? One in Austin in 2 weeks. Right up your straza!
Yes! Done an Ultra Swimrun along the south coast of England, was a HUGE day out but loved it 🌊
Smashing it ❤
🫡
The lack of a Barton Springs morning run & swim hurt the Austin soul a little bit, not gonna lie
Did that without filming/tracking! Lots of things out here I just wanted to enjoy/put on Instagram stories ✌🏼
Hope you find yourself in a better place again soon Fergus! (Not in a geographical sense obv, Austin looks quality)
Haha exactly, thanks man!
Hyrox ! River place natural trail (trail run) next time you’re back in Austin ! And permission to tag along! Hope you feeling better soon 🙌🏽
I’m back in April, with arrange some more formal shenanigans then! This time was just about getting a feel for the place mostly 🤝
I feel you. It doesn’t feel the same if your hips don’t want to squat 😢😢😢
And now is a cooler time for Texas 😅
It literally dropped a level mid last week which was useful! Summer must be unbearable 😂
I live in Colorado where we have greater range (-28 to 38) in the year, but I hear horror stories of Texas heat.
