really enjoyed the video. Looking forward to picking one of these bikes up! Im actually starting to really get into nikes that are attractive and well made but are over looked like the f800r. Its something different that you i dont really see around and every review of the bike so far has said that its effortless to ride, versatile and fun. sounds good to me.
Interesting to hear your thoughts on it, Steve. Would've preferred if you included some different shots of the bike as well but other than that... look forward to seeing how you get on with it :)
Steve Hunt I'm not a journalist and I know full well that I'm watching free content. But this video contained no benefit to just having written the text, made some better pictures and posted that as an article. I'm willing to bet the deadline for this rapport was within hours of you pulling into that parking lot. The feedback on the bike was good, but as a video it was lazy and unprofessional.
05068279 no deadline, I just thought it would add a little more detail to my report within the paper. But... The audio was better this time though, right? ;)
I have an '07 F800S. It's great mid corner. The torque makes me lazy on the shifter. The only bone I have to pick is that the engine cuts off when I engage the clutch after riding at the same RPMs for a period of time. Not only does the engine cut off, but the headlight and everything shut off too. On a dark and stormy night, on a twisty road, we're talking seriously dangerous. I hope they fixed this problem on the newer model...
If only it was a Nuda 900R. People wouldn't care that it's not a Street Triple. I wonder how many bikes RJ would have sold them if Husqvarna were still part of BMW.
reks95 The Nuda 900R has the same engine as this bike. If only BMW used the crank and firing order from the nuda to give it that SOUND, it would be brlilliant.
Hec Thor It's true, the Nuda is based on the BMW. But the engine is bored and stroked to larger displacement, power, and torque. The suspension is longer travel. Styling is significantly different and IMO more attractive. But, I agree. The firing order and sound would be a huge improvement for the F800R.
Ignore the ignorant twerps in the comments Steve. The video was well made. It's a different style yes but a good style.
Despite others criticism I liked this video as an introduction to your intentions with the bike and you have a nice vlogging style. Keep 'em coming!
nice,honest vlog,enjoyed that,keep em coming.
So what's the cost of ownership ? Average service cost ? Parts etc... Thanks
.looks like an amazing bike 😍
Would be nice to see the bike...
You can read and see more about the bike in the link within the description.
joseph domingue You could also google the goddamn thing.

Definitely not electrical. Do a google search on the F800 engine cut out issue. The f800riders forum is full of these reports.
Had a 2007 F800S with the same problem.
Besides that it was an amazing bike. Loved it. Effortless to ride.
