I haven't see it yet. I don't remember, it came out in 1996 but I do remember being on TV in the late 1990's or early 2000's. I do remember Peter Gallagher and Catherine Zeta-Jones, both being in it.
Oh yes. I remember this film vividly. Didn’t really get much right in terms of historical accuracy. That said, it’s still a fun film to watch (aside from THAT scene…) Cameron’s film and this film are what got me interested in the real history of Titanic. Kinda funny you weren’t allowed to watch Cameron’s film cuz of boobs. And it wound up that the 1996 miniseries has a grotesque shower rape scene far worse than any innocuous boobage lol.
At least the original screenplay by Ross LaManna (initially written as a 2-part, four hour miniseries) had nothing like THAT scene in the final condensed version.
Yeah that’s the one aspect of this film I can’t stand is that of all the movies…this one I probably would have appreciated a propped sinking scene. Also the character Alice was annoying.

Good TITANIC movie but sinking scene is so cross cut barley see the ship go down
