We think we've solved the lone

We think we have solved the Duck mystery... it can't fly. Yesterday we were missing one Duck for breakfast. We checked the property and when we couldn't find it, we checked the neighbors pond across the street. It was there, phew! But why!? It spent the day there and the remaining Ducks moved between our two ponds throughout the day. When the sun set, we walked over to see if it would follow us back to its family. It was slow going at first but once it was convinced we weren't trying to hurt it, the journey began.
It joined the flock and everyone seemed calm. No bullying.. but also no flight from that particular duck. Momma Duck clearly knew and thats why she was trying to seperate it.
Our goal is to make sure it knows its safe with us, and hopefully it will learn/build the strength or just plain be ok with walking like our Geese mostly do. #cute #babyducks #baby #donkey #upstateny #mule #ducklings #ducks #minidonkey #rescue
