As a mom of two wonderful boys, I love that you take your mom with you on your adventures! Your mom is badass for taking on some of those roads! Love her set up too!! Way to go mom!! You are very inspiring!
She's all about it, absolutely love having her tag along when possible! Her rig has come a long way since rolling off the dealer lot and couldn't be more excited for her! Best part, I get to enjoy the benefits of her cooking while I film! 😉 👍
Ray_ 23TRD thank you! This will certainly be a fun and entertaining series to watch. Appreciate you following along! Part two is on the works for early next week 👊🏼
This is inspiring and well made. In fact, I finished a 12 day excursion called Southeastern US Exploration and now convinced that I should take your route. Look forward to viewing more.
Thank you very much for the support, definitely can't go wrong with the beautiful landscape of the Rocky Mountains. Sounds like you had a great excursion as well, 12 days out is perfect!
I have the same truck as you, set up kinda like you have yours. great job with the editing of the video!!! if ya ever around Tennessee give me a shout! good job with the videos, keep up the good work man!
Thank you so much for the kind words, it really means a lot! I love the Tacoma, been in every kind of terrain and I trust it to get me there and back. And I definitely will keep that in mind, would like to venture out that direction one of these days. Keep in touch, a lot more videos to come!
cway44 stay tuned, we’ll have one up before long! Probably will be on my tent alone (Eezi-Awn Dart) as I have not “slept” in the others. Do you have any tents that your currently looking at?
Chris B thank you very much! This is a brand new tent he recently got as well as what Roofnest just launched! It’s their new hard shell called the Falcon. It’s only 7” tall when closed up, definitely the slimmest one on the market that I’ve seen.
Great video! Question for you, I noticed one of your buddies is driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee and has a rooftop tent. I have this car and it has a 150lbs max capacity for the roof, how does he bypass that?
We upgraded the rail system away from factory to the Rhino Rack Vortex cross rails. These not only provide better mounting options but much stronger and heavier weight capabilities. As far as the weight on the roof there are two systems to take into consideration: dynamic vs. static. Essentially how much weight can be mounted when the vehicle is in motion vs. parked. We are under the threshold for these recommended numbers but I would suggest reading up on that and look into what would be a safe load weight while driving with a roof top tent.
@@ConquestOverland ah very nice! I'm actually going to look at a 2018 3.6 tomorrow morning. Was using your video as a guideline to what I was looking for. Do you like the 3.6? Any regrets or second thoughts on not getting the 4 cylinder?
Mr. Ramirez haha being completely honest, it was sheer coincidence! We all enjoy the color for the ability to add wraps or other items later. But with my Tacoma I’m the only one without a hood decal... haha.

@@ConquestOverland thats right, no worries. Keep up the videos man, nice work.
Looks like you started on I-90 out of Seattle
Sure did! 👍🏼
Conquest Overland ~ I used to make the drive into Seattle from Yakima
I gotta ask, what's the story behind all three vehicles dressed in black and white?
Mr. Ramirez haha being completely honest, it was sheer coincidence! We all enjoy the color for the ability to add wraps or other items later. But with my Tacoma I’m the only one without a hood decal... haha.
