    This is fantastic. Can't wait to get our hands of one of these for our two girls + sharing news of this with others who's previously be hesitant to purchase a cargo bike because of the rain, wind and snowy days

    This is the most amazing setup I’ve ever seen! I was wondering how the handling is when it’s loaded up and the kids are in, how hard is it to balance the bike when you push off or come to a stop? Would you mind showing that? Not sure if you’ve covered this issue in another video.

    • @barbarootoo
      @barbarootoo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's fairly similar to a regular bike. Yes, starting and stopping are always the most challenging but with a little practice it will be no problem. Plus you have the e-assist to help you get up to speed which always helps with feeling more balanced on the bike.

    How does the storm shield mount to the bike ? I have a rad wagon cargo bike already with the same kind of monkey bar set up... is it possible to just purchase the storm shield ?

    • @BikeShopGirl
      @BikeShopGirl  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will be possible to just purchase the shield but it is created for the clubhouse little nubs that stick out so it is hard or me to envision it working on your bike.

    Hi, I’m wondering whether the storm shield can be used with the captains chair and joyride handlebars? It looks like the dimensions would be about the same? I’m looking for solutions to allow me to carry an adult passenger, or my dog, most likely in a box sitting within the captains chair and handlebars. And I would like in both cases for my passengers to be able to be protected from the weather.

    • @BikeShopGirl
      @BikeShopGirl  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there! I don't BELIEVE so. The contact points are in theory the same area, but not exactly the same. I don't have the captain's chair installed on any bikes right now but will try this in the coming weeks for you!

    • @annaturba
      @annaturba 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I read on their website, that the storm shield is high enough for children up to 1,70m, so I think it would rule out adults anyways.

    Hey, what is the difference between the clubhouse and the clubhouse +? Is the clubhouse also fitting on the 2nd Generation?
    Many Greetings ...

    • @BikeShopGirl
      @BikeShopGirl  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maren - the Clubhouse does not fit on the Gen 1 as it is slightly longer. The clubhouse+ is slightly longer and has 2 different rails on the back so you can now use a Yepp seat in the rear. If you have a Gen 2 GSD you'll need the Clubhouse+

    Great video! How is the size of the Storm box compared to the 52l cargo hold panniers? Also do you know the US prices of the storm box and shield?

    • @BikeShopGirl
      @BikeShopGirl  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't know the liters, but the space comes up to the clubhouse + so a ton of volume. Pricing/availability below - this is for the US market
      Clubhouse + : $240.00, eta mid/late December
      Sidekick Wide Deck : $120.00, eta mid/late December
      Storm Shield : $220.00, eta mid/late December
      Storm Box : $220.00, eta mid/late December
      Cargo Lid Lock : $30.00, eta mid/late December
      Lockstand Extensions : $30.00, eta mid/late December

    How practical is the storm box for regular use? Is it difficult for kids to get in? What about dirty shoes etc.
    Would you keep it on all year round?

    • @BikeShopGirl
      @BikeShopGirl  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      James - It really depends on your life and kids. The kids can't really get in at all by themselves with it on. I'm about to do a cargo hold 52 vs Storm Box video for Tern Bicycle North America channel. Let me know if you have more specific questions than the ones you listed above.

    What about owners of the first generation Tern GSD? We are left out in the cold!

    • @BikeShopGirl
      @BikeShopGirl  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't fully tested the various accessories on the original Gen1 bike and clubhouse. I believe the storm box will fit, but you won't have proper deck width at the bottom, and the storm shield is questionable since the new Clubhouse + is much larger and the shield is tight. If it isn't tight I would fear for it falling off or flapping around.

    Is there actually a way to transport an infant with this cargo bike addition? Or must the child at least be able to sit?

    • @BikeShopGirl
      @BikeShopGirl  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For an infant, you’ll want to look at a bakfiets that is designed for an infant seat to be installed facing backwards. Look for my urban arrow family review as an example
