Keiichi Tsuchiya the real life drift king is almost 70 and he’s still drifting. Age don’t matter man. You should definitely do something you want to do. All these years working day in and day out man. It’s a well deserved hobby
never too late, dunno where you live but getting a drifttable shitbox (a BMW) will net you about $2k with welded diff and a starter suspension here in europe. we have a massive amount of old bmws on the roads that you can buy and crash and your pocket won't hurt. i just hate how they look and im a fan of japanese brands (also got an immortal offroad/expedition land cruiser) so i ended up with a 350z that i wanted ever since i played need for speed underground as a kid. but yeah try sim racing for like $100-300 first, you can learn something before getting a drift car this way. just do it!
Honestly its probably for the best. That project is not something that should be rushed. I would honestly love to see a fully build on not only the UZ but even updates and upgrades to the S14 as a whole. I think a 2022 refresh to that thing would be hella sick and would provide some good drift built content. Especially with the UZ platform it'd be something that no one else is really doing.
Keep the Z Trevor it makes sense. However every S14 you saw had a 2J in it………. There is a reason for that! Pull the 3UZ and put a fully refreshed 2J back in the 14! You know ultimately it makes sense!
You should pull out that OM606 , do some crazy drift wagon from the Benz, or swap the benz with LS ? I would love to see that ! Great video like always, the trusty Z did his job great , you should always have a (ace in your sleeve ) backup car for events like this overall I’m stoked what’s next !
The s14 with a 2jz just worked só well. Only needed oil changes. Go back tô 2jz and keep it reliable. Get your other s14 and 3uz turbo build engine and all. I think u shoukd have a drift car that just works
It seems like the 3uz is more complicated then it needs to be. I'd put an LS or the jz back in it. I'm sure you got all the parts still to swap it back and keep it simple stupid. Reliable and fun. My 2 pennies anyway. There is always granny's Datsun....
Not really complicated so much as just really the steering shaft is the main issue. If anything I say put the JZ back in... and then put the UZ in the Mustang. That way the Mustang stays Unique.. and the S14 becomes something he can just get in and drive. Though I do feel that car needs to be updated/modernized a bit.
By no means is this hate!! But you're good at drifting but I've noticed that on all your drifting events, you don't seem to get much angle. Or you don't get as sideways as most, why is that?
Don’t think many people have ever been a fan of the 3uz, listen to the comments you want a need a reliable drift car, the 2j s14 was exactly that, refreshed 2j back in the s14 with some nice upgrades maybe a plazma man intake manifold etc is the right solution for you and the channel I think
I think if he listened to the comments he wouldn't have 25 different new builds that never get finished. Already has nice projects that he could keep upgrading and doing things proper for events.

The s14 is the real drift car. Do the 3uz build proper. Also like the 7.3 mustang idea 👍👍

Zs are tanks when stock.. say what you want about how they sound or look but for maximum seat time they are hard to beat

Take your time on the s14 3uz turbo build. Get some rods to hold that boost and have a solid unit

I think you may need an angle kit for the z unless it ruins the driveability in other ways idk I don't drift just enjoy watching you get it in

Totally agree, I'd love to see Trevor take the drifting seriously.....and for that the s14 2jz setup was perfect.
I still wish you would put the 2JZ back in the S14 and do a full makeover on the car with new paint and livery

I think it was a damned if you do, damned if you don’t scenario - s14 wouldn’t have drifted well on this track like you say without the turbo anyway .
